Chicago Fire: Severide related scoop from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

https://pmctvline2.files.wordpress.com/2017/11/chicago-fire-severide.jpg

Here's some scoop on Chicago Fire from this week's (Posted on 11/14/17) Matt's Inside Line column.

What’s next for Chicago Fire‘s Severide after the Hope fiasco? —Rachel
What’s next is a visit from his mom… and possibly the return of his dad Benny (played by Treat Williams)! “[Treat] did a movie which threw us off,” showrunner Derek Haas explains, “so the storyline we were going to have for him, we’re pushing until after the movie. We’re going to bring Severide’s mom into the picture in the second half of the season [for] a story that’s pretty involved, and if we can get Benny, it will be ideal, but it’s hard because [Treat’s] not a regular on our show.

Got any Chicago Fire scoop? –Chris
This Tuesday, Treat Williams brings back Severide’s pops Benny “as a lending hand, voice of reason, so to speak,” Taylor Kinney previewed during our visit to the set. “He helps out with a problematic issue that could be really detrimental to Boden, the house and everybody involved.” Elsewhere in the hour, romance blossoms at the fire department gala, and given what Yuri Sardarov told us, we can’t help but wonder if that means Otis will finally get some action. (“There is going to be a storyline with potentially someone in the house,” he teased.) Meanwhile, Mouch, realizing he needs to lock down girlfriend Platt, will “make the big move predictably clumsily and ineptly, and it takes an unfortunate turn,” Christian Stolte said.

Chicago Fire: Severide, Benny and Bowden related scoop on season 2 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Chicago Fire from this week's (Posted on 8/20/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Chicago Fire was one that grew on me quickly after its so-so pilot. Have any information about its second season? —Marc
Ausiello: Treat Williams will be back as Severide’s dad Benny, and he’s going to be stirring things up for more than just his son. “There’s going to be a firehouse arc between Benny and Bowden, which will further inflame their already touchy relationship,” previews executive producer Danielle Gelber. “More emotionally, there’s going to be layers of Severide’s past that are revealed through Benny and through some unexpected twists.”

Hawaii Five-0: Scoop on McGarrett's relationship with his mother from TVGuide's Adam Bryant and Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on Hawaii Five-0 from this week's (Posted on 1/8/13) Mega Buzz column.

Got any Hawaii Five-0 scoop? —Melanie
ADAM:
Looks like McGarrett's trust issues with his mom aren't going away. In fact, he's going to hire a private investigator to tail her! "There's a lot of mistrust about what her agenda is, and he wants to know what's going on," executive producer Peter Lenkov tells us. Treat Williams will play the P.I. in a couple episodes, but he too is not all he seems to be. "It's going to backfire," Lenkov teases. "It comes back to bite [McGarrett]."

Chicago Fire: Scoop on Treat Williams' role from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Chicago Fire from this week's (Posted on 1/3/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: I never see anything about Chicago Fire, which is one of my favorite new shows. I would love some scoop — it would be a wonderful start to 2013. —Noel
Ausiello: I’m about to make your (new) year, Noel. (But spoiler alert: It’s all downhill from here. Kidding. Maybe.) As you know, Everwood‘s Treat Williams will debut later this month as the father of Taylor Kinney’s Kelly. What you probably don’t know is that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. “They’re absolutely cut from the same cloth,” reveals exec producer Derek Haas. “Their relationship is also very complicated, and they haven’t seen each other in quite a long time. Dad’s a well-respected firefighter in his own right who’s now retired. His relationship with [Kelly's] mom has long since been over, [and now Kelly] is reaching out to him to reconnect.”

White Collar: Scoop on episode 4x07 "Compromising Positions" from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on White Collar from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich's weekly column Matt's Inside Line for the week of 8/2/12.

White Collar | If you’re a TVLine newshound, you may have put two and two together to realize that this “Sam” fella whom Neal’s aunt Ellen has vouched for will be played by Treat Williams (Everwood), and he first appears Aug. 28. “He comes in as this mysterious figure who worked undercover in the D.C. precinct,” Matt Bomer told us at the start of the season. “He’s the only other person that Neal is aware of who knew his father, and knew all the ins and outs of why his father was convicted of murder.” Well, Sam must give Neal quite the download, because two episodes later, Bomer says he got to do “some really fun, intense scenes” with costar Tim DeKay. “Neal and Peter’s mistrust of each other really comes to a head.”

TVLine Items: Mimi Rogers Plays Mom on Men, Closer Vet Declines Spinoff Spot and More-TVLine

Two and a Half Men is adding a new lady to the mix.

Mimi Rogers is set to appear in multiple episodes of the CBS staple, playing the mother of Ashton Kutcher’s Walden Schmidt, Deadline reports. Men‘s self-made millionaire apparently got his brains from his lookalike mom, who happens to be a noted primatologist.

Ready for more of today’s TV dish? Well…

• Looks like The Closer is getting spun off without Corey Reynolds. Deadline is reporting that the actor has turned down a spot on Major Crimes, the long-running TNT drama’s upcoming offshoot. In the meantime, Reynolds has signed a talent holding deal at NBC.

Everwood alert! Treat Williams has landed a guest spot on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU. Per TVGuide.com, the NBC procedural has cast the Against the Wall actor as a former quarterback caught with an underage prostitute.

Hellcats alumna Ashely Tisdale will appear in the Valentine’s Day installment of Fox’s Raising Hope, playing Jimmy’s fake girlfriend, per EW.com.

Jennie Garth is set to star in and executive-produce a half-hour comedy pilot for ABC Family, titled Village People. The 90210 alumna will play a single, career-driven woman who adopts a baby from a teen mom, whom she ends up “adopting” as well.

Wilmer Valderrama (That 70′s Show) will guest-star on an episode of ABC’s freshman comedy Suburgatory, playing a new age spiritual (and sexual!) guru, TVGuide.com reports.
