7x11 (Thunder Gun Express)
This was another episode that I thought really lived up to the old tagline “Seinfeld on crack”, because the plot of the episode was basically The Gang trying to get to the movie theater in a half hour in order to see the hottest new action movie “Thunder Gun Express”. The problem was there was a major traffic jam throughout the city of Philadelphia, which led The Gang to split up and try to get to the movie on their own. That aspect of this episode reminded me a lot of one of my all-time favorite episodes of Seinfeld, “The Puerto Rican Day Parade” where all of the characters were stuck in a traffic jam due to the parade that was taking place and they all split up in order to try and get home.
One of the main things that I loved the most about this episode was all of the references that they made to previous episodes of the show, especially the scenes where Dennis is listening to tape recordings of his numerous sexual conquests and is reviewing his use of The D.E.N.N.I.S. System after Mac tells him that he takes too long to seduce women. Dennis’ reaction to realizing that he still has the tape recording of him trying to seduce a girl that turned out to be sixteen and the way that Glenn played it was beyond priceless. That’s definitely one of my favorite moments of season seven. Dennis’ scenes with the girl he ends up getting into a fender-bender with and later goes to the movie with were great too though.
Frank also made a lot of references to previous episodes when he was talking to the people on the tour boat that he hijacked, which were hilarious. What made that part so funny was the fact that all of the tourists have no idea what he was talking about. Off all the things that Frank’s said to the tourists was the part where was talking about how he loves “banging whores”. I love that It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia has no qualms about having the characters say things like that, and I can’t really think of too many other shows that would even dare have the characters say things like that. I also love the fact that says the tagline for the movie Thunder Gun Express, “No hesitation, no surrender” as he’s jumping off the tour boat, but as soon as he sees that there’s a bunch of police officers waiting for him he puts his hands up and says “I surrender!”
Dee and Charlie’s scene in the sewer was absolutely awesome, and I love the argument that they had when Charlie refused to give Dee his shoes when one of hers’ gets stuck in a grate in the sewer. The fact that he quickly abandons Dee when he hears the “wall of water” coming towards them and Dee quickly begins to take all of her clothes off as the scene was ending after initially refusing to take Charlie’s advice to take all of her clothes off so they wouldn’t get wet.
This episode had a great ending with Charlie and Dee joining Mac and Dennis at the movie theater and how they were distracting everyone else in the movie theater because they were talking to each other very loudly and are commenting on how Dennis is getting a hand job from the girl he got into a car accident with earlier in the back of the theater. I still can’t get over the fact that Frank used the one phone call that he got when we was arrested for stealing the boat to call the movie theater in order to report a fake bomb threat so the movie theater would be forced to shut down the movie. It was even funnier that Dee, Charlie, Mac and Dennis immediately knew it was Frank who had called in the bomb threat since he had suggested that they do that at the beginning of the episode. That was awesome. :)

7x12 (The High School Reunion)
This proved to be a pretty big episode for It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, because they finally revealed Mac’s full name, which is Ronald “Mac” McDonald. I thought that the way the writers handled the reveal of Mac’s full name was absolutely brilliant, and I love the explanation about how he started simply going by Mac after busted several of his classmates for selling drugs so he could be the main drug dealer at their high school, which ultimately earned him the nickname “Ronnie the Rat”, which Mac ended up living up to once again when he ratted on one of his classmates for using fake drink tickers at the bar.
I love how Dee turned on rest of The Gang when she saw that she had the chance to be accepted by the popular kids, which she wanted to do so she could get revenge on Adriano Calvaniste for coining the nickname “Aluminum Monster” as a way to bully her in high school only to be shunned by them after Rickety Cricket told everyone that Dee had once told him that she loved him. I thought that was very true the way that all of the characters on the show act. Also, I thought that Dee giving Frank a wedgie was both beyond hilarious and beyond weird since he’s her dad.
As morbid as this may sound, I really enjoyed seeing The Waitress’ downward spiral continue in this episode. The last time we saw her was in the episode “The Gang Goes To The Jersey Shore” where she was uncharacteristically nice to Charlie and they ended up hanging out together all night only to have The Waitress tell Charlie that she had been high on ecstasy the entire evening. In this episode, it was revealed that she’s off the wagon and is drinking again. I thought it was very clever on the writers’ part to have them say that the people who had planned the reunion didn’t have a nametag for The Waitress as a way to have her name remain a mystery. As much as I want to know what The Waitress’ name is, I think it would have been a major copout for them to reveal both Mac’s full name and The Waitress’ name in the same episode.
For me, the best thing about this episode was definitely Dennis adamantly believing that he was still one of the most popular kids. Although, I don’t think Dennis was ever truly popular due to the fact that pretty much everyone refused to give him the time of day. I think he only believed that he was due to his own narcissism.
I thought it was great to see Maureen Ponderosa again, and I loved Frank’s reaction to Maureen’s diamond tooth. I just found Frank altogether hilarious in this episode. Although, I have to say that I still think it’s weird that Frank went with Dee, Dennis, Mac and Charlie to their high school reunion.

7x13 (The High School Reunion, Pt. 2: The Gang's Revenge)
I personally thought that this episode was a great way to end what I thought was for the most part; with the exception of the episode “Franks’ Brother” was phenomenal season. This episode also confirmed what I was thinking the first time I watched the previous episode; Dennis was never actually popular, he only thought he was. In reality, his classmates thought he was always weird for saying things such as refer to himself as “The Golden Gold”. I love that Dennis decided to try and seduce his nemesis, Tim Murphy’s wife, Christy, to get back at Tim, but after she rejected him, he basically snaps, goes nuts and gets extremely angry. Glenn played that all perfectly, and the sight of the inside of Dennis’ trunk that contains things for Dennis’ “fetishes” still cracks me up.
It was great seeing Dee in her back brace after Charlie, Mac and Frank threw out her back when they were giving her a wedgie as a way to reinitiate her back into “The Freight Train”. That thing looked ridiculous. I also loved the return of Ingrid “Fatty Magoo” Nelson, how The Gang kept calling her Fatty Magoo even though she isn’t fat anymore.
One of the best things about this episode was the speech that Frank gave The Gang after it was revealed that Mac, not Tim Murphy, slept with Dennis’ prom date. That was hilarious. Another one of the best things about this episode was definitely the dance that The Gang did in front of everyone at the reunion and how they showed them dancing really well and the entire crowd being very impressed by it, and then showed that none of that was real. In reality, they were moving around the room awkwardly and making weird noises. The crowd’s reaction to their actual dance was absolutely priceless, especially after Tim Murphy told everyone that he was going to have an after party at his house and that everybody except for The Gang was invited.
I felt so bad for Charlie when Schmitty showed up out of nowhere at the end of the episode and ended up leaving with The Waitress with the intention of sleeping with her. Looking back on it, I personally thought that bringing Jason Sudeikis back for what was basically a one-minute appearance at the end of the episode was kind of stupid, but since it was such a small part of the episode, it didn’t bring my level of enjoyment for the episode down at all. I did love Charlie’s reaction to Schmitty swooping in and getting go have sex with The Waitress though.
