Instagram Reading Wrap Up: September 2017

Here's my monthly wrap up of all the books that I read in August, which I originally posted on Instagram.

Here are all of the books that I read in October, or in the case of Before She Ignites by Jodi Meadows (@unicornwarlord), started reading. I definitely deviated from my original September TBR since @christinalauren's Autoboyography and Before She Ignites weren't originally books that I was planning to read this month. However, I definitely had a fantastic reading month, because I absolutely loved every book that I read this month, and I'm loving Before She Ignites so far. I honestly can't pick a favorite out of these books, because they're all amazing. I unexpectedly ended up winning a giveaway that Christina Lauren did on Twitter for Autoboyography, and I received a copy of the audiobook version of Autoboyography from them. I honestly cried 5+ times as I was listening to Autoboyography. It really resonated with me on a very profound emotional level. It's an amazing book, but reading it was definitely a massive emotional kick to the groin for me. 😭That's why I followed up reading Autoboyography with My Lady Jane, which was absolutely hilarious. @authoremmachase's Royally Endowed was a fantastic ending to the Royally series. @authorkaylaolson's The Sandcastle Empire and @kendareblake's Three Dark Crowns are both great examples of why I love YA fantasy books so much. I started reading Before She Ignites on my flight to San Diego a couple weeks ago, and I'm going to try my best to finish it by the time @owlcrate has their OwlBabble with Jodi Meadows towards the end of the month. All in all, September really was a great reading month for me. 😀 #bookstagram #bookaholic #bookaddict #autoboyography #christinalauren #beforesheignites #thefallenislestrilogy #thefallenisles #jodimeadows #threedarkcrowns #kendareblake #owlcrate

Instagram Reading Wrap Up: August 2017

Here's my monthly wrap up of all the books that I read in August, which I originally posted on Instagram. I've been posting monthly wrap ups of all the books I read each month on Instagram (A.K.A. Bookstagram) for a while now, and I've decided to start posting them here as well.

Here are all of the books that I read, or in the case of Francesca Zappia's Eliza and Her Monsters, finished reading in August. @authoremmachase's Royally Matched and @jrwardauthor's The Angels' Share were both books that I was reading for the second time in preparation for the release of the third and final books in their respective series. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to read either of those books last month, so I'm going to read both Royally Endowed and Devil's Cut this month. I absolutely loved @kasiewest's book, Lucky in Love. 😀 I really liked @lainit's Strange the Dreamer, but I definitely thought that it was a very confusing book. I'm definitely going to read the sequel, though. 😀 Despite the fact that a lot of people seem to absolutely love Eliza and Her Monsters, I unfortunately hated it for the most part. Honestly, there quite a few times that I considered DNFing the book, and I've only done that with two books in the years that I've been reviewing books for my blog. While I wish that I had been able to read at least one or two more books that were in my August T.B.R., I still feel like I had a pretty good month reading wise as far as how the month of August was for me. 😀 #bookstagram #bookaholic #bookaddict #bookworms #bookworm #bookblogger #bookblog #strangethedreamer #lainitaylor #bourbonkings #theangelsshare #jrward #luckyinlove #kasiewest #royallymatched #royallyseries #emmachase #elizaandhermonsters #francescazappia

Instagram Reading Wrap Up: July 2017

Here's my monthly wrap up of all the books that I read in July, which I originally posted on Instagram. I've been posting monthly wrap ups of all the books I read each month on Instagram (A.K.A. Bookstagram) for a while now, and I've decided to start posting them here as well.

Here are all of the books that I read, or in the case of @authorjenniferprobst's Any Time, Any Place re-read in July. I technically finished reading A Storm of Swords this morning. It was getting really late last night, so I decided to go to bed, and I listened to the last two chapters on audiobook this morning. I'm definitely feeling pretty proud of myself for reading A Storm of Swords since it's the longest book that I've ever read. Sadly, I didn't like it very much, and I'm honestly not sure that I want to continue reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series at this point. I absolutely love the show Game of Thrones, though. My favorite out of all the books that I read in July is definitely @themackenzilee's The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue. 😀 While @jeffzentner's The Serpent King continues to be my favorite out of all the @owlcrate books of the month that I've received so far, The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue is definitely a very close second favorite for me now. 😀 I also absolutely loved @grantginder's The People We Hate at the Wedding, and I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on the books that Ginder publishes in the future after reading it. 😀 I still need to finish @chessiezappia's Eliza and Her Monsters, but I'm determined to finish it by the end of this month. Despite being very disappointed by A Storm of Swords, I still feel like July was a great month for me reading wise. 😀 #bookstagram #owlcrate #thegentlemansguidetoviceandvirtue #mackenzilee #anytimeanyplace #billionairebuildersseries #billionairebuilders #jenniferprobst #thepeoplewehateatthewedding #grantginder #astormofswords #asongoficeandfire #asoiaf #georgerrmartin #gameofthrones #elizaandhermonsters #francescazappia #bookworm #bookaholic #bookaddict #bookblog

FYI: I'm currently working on writing reviews for Jennifer Probst's Any Time, Any Place, Grant Ginder's The People We Hate at the Wedding, and Mackenzi Lee's The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue. I'll also be writing a review for George R. R. Martin's A Storm of Swords.
