True Blood: Alcide related scoop on season 7 and scoop on the series finale from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on True Blood from this week's (Posted on 6/18/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Do you have any scoop on True Blood? —Charif
Ausiello: The table read for the series finale took place earlier this week, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, Stephen Moyer confirms. “People turned up that we hadn’t seen for ages — [series creator] Alan [Ball] was there,” he tells TVLine. “We’re sitting in the same room we’ve been reading in for seven years… that stuff’s really deep.”

Question: I’ll take anything you’ve got on the final season of True Blood. —Nina
Ausiello: Joe Manganiello, who spent much of last season starring in what felt like some kind of weird Alcide spinoff, is back with “the core group” in Season 7, the actor confirms. Of course, being married to in a serious relationship with Sookie Stackhouse will do that. “He is domesticated [and] living in society,” reports Manganiello. “He isn’t the wild crazy wolf-guy anymore. [Sookie and Alcide] go to church on Sundays. He has to wear a blazer. He lives in gran’s house. He’s got a to-do list for the house. It’s different life for him. But it is what he has always wanted. He finally got the girl and he got the life. Now the only problem is that there are these marauding Hep-V pyscho vampires destroying the world. There’s gotta be something.”

True Blood: Scoop on the possibility of upcoming deaths and more on season 6 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on True Blood from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat for Friday 4/12/13.

Eliza: We're less than two months away from the new season of True Blood, so how about some scoop to celebrate?
Well, can the possibility of death really be cause for celebration? Oh, all right. Take it away, Joe Manganiello: "We're in the middle of episode six, moving right along. Right now, we still have the big cast with the big table-reads, but pretty soon everybody's going to start getting knocked off!" Yikes! As for the latest showrunner swap, Manganiello says, "I think with Brian Buckner replacing Alan Ball there's maybe some hair being let down, maybe some 'let's get wild, let's get crazy!'"

True Blood: Spoilers on Alcide's love life in season 6 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on True Blood from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat for Thursday 4/4/13.

Naomi: True Blood!!! #fangbanger
Sorry, fans of Sookie and Alcide's will they/won't they tension, because the pack master is totally playing the field this season. "Alcide is now the pack master, which means he has lots of dating options," Joe Manganiello tells us on the set of his new campaign for Magnum Gold ice cream. "It's good to be the pack master! I remember I asked the producer, ‘What do pack masters do all day?' And they're like, ‘They get all the were-bitches!'" But being the leader of the pack won't be all girls and more girls. He's actually got to take charge of the group. "They're an unruly bunch; they're werewolves. So keeping them in line is a difficult job that Alcide never wanted." And now, for the best scoop of all: How naked will Joe be this season? "I'm True Blood naked!" he assures us. Thank our lucky stars.

How I Met Your Mother: Scoop on Joe Manganiello's appearance in episode 8x08 "Twelve Horny Women" from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on How I Met Your Mother from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat for Tuesday 11/20/12.

Melissa in Toronto: Brad is back! I need scoop on Joe Manganiello's next episode of How I Met Your Mother.
We were on set for next week's episode revolving around Brad and Marshall's courtroom battle, where Marshall saves the world! And Brad gets...naked? "There might be some shirtless Joe," Jason Segel teased. "It was a request on our part." Manganiello revealed that the nudity might have to do with his strategy in the courtroom. "Brad uses some very unorthodox and questionable tactics in court," he said to us.  "I wouldn't put it past him. There's some farm animals. I'm not even kidding. There's some farm animals involved in the courtroom." Hopefully they aren't bringing back the goat that kicked Ted's ass back in season four.

We were just on the How I Met Your Mother set when Joe Manganiello was filming his guest spot, and Neil Patrick Harris told us his hubby David will be back during those episodes, too! Manganiello is booked for two episodes, but we hear Scooter is only in one of those. Probably pining after Lily, per usual.

How I Met Your Mother: Scoop on episode 8x08 “Twelve Horny Women” from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on How I Met Your Mother from this week's (Posted on 10/2/12) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Can you give me some HIMYM scoop? Pretty please with a Smurf on top? —Tiffany
Ausiello: You had me at “pretty.” Speaking of which, remember how I told you True Blood’s Joe Manganiello had booked a return engagement as Brad? Now I can also tell you what he’ll be up to. In Episode 8 (titled “Twelve Horny Women”), the hunky attorney will be arguing a pollution case against his former law school classmate Marshall — and turning on everyone in the courtroom in the process.

Question: Any news on the return of Robin Sparkles on HIMYM? —Dave
Ausiello: Yup. You’ll catch a glimpse of her in the same episode that marks Manganiello’s reappearance. In a pair of flashbacks to 1997 (I’ll let you guess which one is real!), Robin remembers her pop diva alter ego having an altercation in her hotel room with a Canadian Mountie responding to a noise complaint… and being given an award for being the nicest guest the hotel ever had!

David B.: Any scoop on Joe Manganiello's return to HIMYM? I've missed Brad!
Oh, we missed that brunch-lovin' bro, too! Someone who probably didn't miss Brad? Marshall, who will be going up against his former BFF/current nemesis in court, which could prove to be a real challenge considering the judge and jury are pretty into Brad's physique. Can't say we blame them!

How I Met Your Mother: Joe Manganiello to Return in Season 8-TVLine

Joe Manganiello How I Met Your Mother

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, Joe Manganiello will be reprising his role as Marshall's friend from law school, Brad, for two episodes in season 8. Here's an excerpt from the article:

Viewers last saw Brad in Season 5 when he went on an awkward hockey-themed date with Robin. It’s unclear what brings him back into the fold, but last week HIMYM co-creator Craig Thomas told TVLine that the show’s eighth season would feature “a couple of familiar faces coming back,” including the previously reported Michael Trucco as Robin’s crush and Ashley Williams as Victoria.

“There’s going to be a few more [returnees] from deeper into the past as we near the end of the series,” he added. “Just funny people we always wanted to write for more and play with more.”

White Collar: Season 3 Episode 13--Tiffani Thiessen Interview-TVLine

Here's an interview that TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich did with Tiffani Thiessen. In the interview Thiessen talks about the kidnapping storyline that they did with Elizabeth, tonight's episode, and she also talks a little bit about the season 3 finale. Here's an excerpt from the interview, which gives some details on tonight's episode:

TVLINE | Were you pleased to see Elizabeth’s craftiness come into play when she was in captivity?
I loved that they really do show the fact that she’s been married to an FBI agent for over 10 years, and that she’s a smart woman. It’s fun to actually see that side of her – and you’ll see it again in the episode this week.

TVLINE | Right, you get to pose as an actual FBI agent. Did you get any pointers from Tim DeKay (who plays Peter) or…?
I actually got a few pointers from him, and even from Matt [Bomer], because you’ll see me picking a lock! Elizabeth gets help from Neal on that little side bit, and it’s a pretty funny scene.

TVLINE | Lock-picking is actually a lot more involved than TV lets on, right?
Oh my gosh, the whole kit I was using?! I was like, “This is crazy.” But it’s good to know — if I ever had to.

TVLINE | So tee up this week’s episode with Joe Manganiello as the Burkes’ new neighbor.
Elizabeth gets very suspicious of a new couple that moves into their neighborhood. And being a woman whose extremely protective of her life – especially after the events that just happened to her – she might be a little nervous about things around her. She has a definite woman’s intuition of something not being right, so she gets involved in trying to figure it out and solve it, with the help of Mozzie. It’s a fun but very suspenseful episode.

TVLINE | The episode almost has a Rear Window-like vibe to it.
You’re the second person who has said that. Yes, you get that very much.

TVLINE | Lets talk about how tall Joe is. I mean, I have pictures of myself interviewing him that make me want to reach out to Tom Cruise’s shoemaker.
[Laughs] My husband is very tall, as well – he’s 6-foot-4 — and I thought he was the tallest man ever, but Joe even passes my husband. He’s extremely tall. He’s just a big guy.

True Blood: Season 5 Spoilers Werewolves Galore-TVline

Move over, witches. True Blood is trading sorcery for a whole lot of howling.

And hair.

The HBO drama’s upcoming fifth season will be packed with werewolves, and the man beast leading the resurgence — Joe Manganiello (a.k.a. Alcide) — is champing at the bit to get started.

“Oh my god, I can’t f—ing wait,” he enthused to TVLine at the after-party for this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (airing Nov. 29 on CBS). ”The fact that they’re basically busy casting an entire new pack of werewolves is unbelievable. There’s going to be like a werewolf show within the show this this year, so I’m like a kid about it!”

Among the lycanthropes making tracks to Bon Temps: late pack leader Marcus’ mother, Annie (played by Winter’s Bone standout Dale Dickey); a hot young she-wolf named Rikki; and a hard-bodied fiftysomething named J.D. who sounds suspiciously like Alcide’s never-before-seen father.

“It may not be what you expect,” teases Manganiello of the character, adding, “Alcide’s dad is in [Charlaine Harris' fifth Sookie novel]. Whether or not he makes an appearance… well, that’s a question for [executive producer] Alan [Ball].” (With reporting by Matt Webb Mitovich)
