True Blood: Scoop on the future of Arlene and Keith's relationship from Entertainment Weekly's Samantha Highfill

Here's some scoop on True Blood from Entertainment Weekly's Samantha Highfill's The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 8/15/14.

I love Arlene and Keith together in True Blood. Please tell me they end up together at the end? Arlene deserves to be happy and Keith seems to be a great guy. —Angel
I couldn’t agree more. And although I can’t promise anything considering the writers have been adamant about the fact that they want to shock the viewers with the series finale, I have a good feeling about Arlene and Keith. For one, writer Craig Chester told us that it was important to them that Keith be a good guy, and I can tell you that in upcoming episodes, he and Arlene seem pretty happy. (But she still has Hep V, so they can’t, well, you know.)

True Blood: Scoop on Bill's fate and scoop on episode 7x09 "Love Is to Die" from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on True Blood from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 8/12/14.

Bill can't die! I know everyone does on True Blood, but please tell me that he takes the cure. — Andrea
With only two episodes to go, there are a lot of narrative threads to tie up, including the issue of Bill's mortality. I will only say this: At least one original cast member will say goodbye for good this week. In possibly related news, a longstanding love triangle will be resolved and you'll see one of the show's weirdest — and funniest — sex scenes between a long-unrequited pair.

True Blood: Arlene and Keith related scoop on episode 7x09 "Love is to Die" and more on the end of the series from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on True Blood from this week's (Posted on 8/12/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any intel about Arlene and Keith from True Blood? They are adorable together and I can’t get enough of them. —Lily
Ausiello: Not everyone will get a happy ending on True Blood, Lily, but I think it’s safe to say that Arlene and Keith will be among the lucky few. Though we’re not going to get another pool table scene, this Sunday’s episode does show the effect Arlene’s relationship with Keith is having on her. (Spoiler Alert: She’s a very happy woman.)

Question: Anything juicy on the remaining episodes of True Blood‘s final season? —Bookworm
Ausiello: “Juicy,” eh, Bookworm? How about one of the most highly anticipated sex scenes in True Blood history finally coming to fruition? Is that “juicy” enough for ya?

True Blood: Sarah related scoop from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on True Blood from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 8/5/14.

Will Sarah escape from Eric on True Blood— Boris
Aww, did you want her to live? That's cute. She'll soon get what she deserves, but you might be surprised by how the standoff at the Light of Day camp goes down. "I see the cars pull up, and I actually end up deciding to sacrifice myself," Anna Camp says. "I believe that I am the new Messiah, and the best thing to do is to tell the truth and to go out there and just surrender." Sarah does realize there's no way in hell they'll take mercy on her, right?

True Blood: Eric and Pam related scoop on episode 7x05 "Lost Cause" and Sarah related scoop from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on True Blood from this week's (Posted on 7/1/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Alexander Skarsgard’s True Blood credits on IMDb only list Episode 2 of Season 7. Please tell me that this is a mistake and there will be more of Eric than that. —Linda
Ausiello: It’s a mistake and there will be more of Eric than that. A lot more of Eric. And if you’re a fan of Eric-Pam, then you’re going to love the July 20 episode. I’ve got two words for you, one of them is “trip” and the other is “road.”

Question: Where has Anna Camp been on True Blood this season? I need my Sarah Newlin fix! —Jason
Ausiello: My favorite vampire exterminator is back in this week’s episode. And as we told you back in February, the show will be introducing us to Sarah’s Texas socialite parents and angry, bitter, gothed-out sister at some point this season (perhaps as early as Sunday).

True Blood: Casting related scoop from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on True Blood from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 6/24/14.

I can't believe we already lost a beloved character on True Blood! Please give me some happier scoop about the final season. — May
How about some new blood? You'll soon meet a chiseled new vamp who gets pulled into the H-vamp war. And when he sets his eyes on one lucky Bon Temps lady, he'll prove to be just as good a lover as he is a fighter. Although the object of his affection is initially a bit heartsore and unsure about entering into a new relationship, she eventually lets the good times roll when they get down and dirty on a pool table.

True Blood: Scoop on Luke Grimes' departure from the show from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on True Blood from this week's (Posted on 6/24/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: You reported in December that Luke Grimes left True Blood ahead of Season 7 due to the “creative direction” of the character James. It seems based on Sunday’s premiere that James, now played by Nathan Parsons, will be a love interest for Lafayette. Was Luke uncomfortable with the same-sex paring? —Nate
Ausiello: Grimes’ rep insists James’ Season 7 storyline “was never actually fleshed out in advance of him fielding a few film roles which conflicted,” adding that the Brothers & Sisters vet (and upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey co-star) “ultimately exercised his out clause to pursue these other projects as opposed to anything having to do with [his True Blood] storyline.”

Looking: Scoop on Season 2 Episode Count from TVLine

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, season 2 of Looking will consist of 10 episodes, up from the show's first season episode order, which had 8 episodes. Here's an excerpt from the article:

Despite tepid ratings, HBO renewed Looking for a second season back in February. At the same time, the show promoted three fan favorites — Lauren Weedman (Dom’s hilariously acid-tongued BFF Doris), Raúl Castillo (Patrick’s BF Richie) and Russell Tovey (Patrick’s boss Kevin) — to series regular.

Season 2 is slated to premiere in early 2015.

My thoughts: For the record, I don't have HBO, so I haven't had a chance to watch Looking yet, but I'm definitely planning to buy the DVD set of the first season when it comes out so I can watch it. That being said, I'm really glad that HBO has ordered ten episodes for the show's second season rather than just ordering eight episodes again like they did for the first season. Personally, I don't think eight episodes is enough episodes for any TV show to deliver a great season without having the storylines seem too rushed. I think it would have been great if HBO had ordered twelve or thirteen episodes for the second season of Looking, but it looks like ten episodes has become the typical number of episodes that HBO orders for each season of their shows, such as True Blood and Girls these days. Since that's what HBO has been doing with True Blood and Girls, it makes sense that they would order the same number of episodes for the second season of Looking.

True Blood: Alcide related scoop on season 7 and scoop on the series finale from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on True Blood from this week's (Posted on 6/18/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Do you have any scoop on True Blood? —Charif
Ausiello: The table read for the series finale took place earlier this week, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, Stephen Moyer confirms. “People turned up that we hadn’t seen for ages — [series creator] Alan [Ball] was there,” he tells TVLine. “We’re sitting in the same room we’ve been reading in for seven years… that stuff’s really deep.”

Question: I’ll take anything you’ve got on the final season of True Blood. —Nina
Ausiello: Joe Manganiello, who spent much of last season starring in what felt like some kind of weird Alcide spinoff, is back with “the core group” in Season 7, the actor confirms. Of course, being married to in a serious relationship with Sookie Stackhouse will do that. “He is domesticated [and] living in society,” reports Manganiello. “He isn’t the wild crazy wolf-guy anymore. [Sookie and Alcide] go to church on Sundays. He has to wear a blazer. He lives in gran’s house. He’s got a to-do list for the house. It’s different life for him. But it is what he has always wanted. He finally got the girl and he got the life. Now the only problem is that there are these marauding Hep-V pyscho vampires destroying the world. There’s gotta be something.”

True Blood: Scoop on a sex scene in episode 7x02 "I Found You" from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on True Blood from this week's (Posted on 6/10/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any spoilers on True Blood? –Courtney
Ausiello: Any spoiler, Courtney? How about what’s sure to be the most talked-about sex scene in True Blood history? And yes, it’s crazier than that time Bill climbed out of his grave and had sex with Sookie in the graveyard. This same-sex hookup, between two non-gay characters, goes down in Episode 2 of the show’s final season — and trust me, it was worth the wait. I can’t say much more, but in case you’re wondering, this particular “love” scene is accompanied by strings.

True Blood: Scoop on the season 7 premiere (Episode 7x01 "Jesus Gonna Be Here") from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on True Blood from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 6/3/14.

I'm sad that this is going to be the final season of True Blood. Do you have anything to make me feel better? — Carrie
Yes, but it may not make you feel better. When the HBO drama returns, the Hep-V-infected vampires that were poised to attack Bon Temps arrive and the bloodbath quickly ensues. Unfortunately, the casualties are not just redshirts. In fact, one character's fate is so jaw-dropping that you'll spend the rest of the episode wondering if what you just watched was a dream. It's not, which clearly means all bets are off in this final season.

True Blood: Casting related scoop on another villain in season 7 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on True Blood from this week's (Posted on 4/15/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Do you know if we’re going to meet any of the beloved but sadly departed characters of the past on True Blood‘s final season? If not, do you have any other scoops? —Kenn
Ausiello: No word yet on any Nights of the Living Dead, but I can tell you that we’re getting what sounds like a new Big Bad in Mr. Gus. Though he’s a Japanese businessman, he’s apparently been so Americanized that he’d make J.R. Ewing seem Asian. (By which we mean he rocks a 10-gallon hat and speaks with a drawl.) Oh, and thanks to a business back-stab, he’s got a thirst for vengeance that’s described as “infinite.” So, while he’ll appear to be middle-aged, I have a hunch he’s immortal.

Andrea: I'm going to not make a bad vampire pun in hopes of you answering me this: What the heck is going on with Bill Compton? Last season on True Blood he was so … yeah.
We're going back in time to meet Bill's parents, William Compton Sr. and Margaret Compton in 1855. We'lll also see Caroline Compton (Shannon Lucio) give birth to one of Bill's kids in the 1850s. And in the present, get ready to meet Brigette, a smokin' hot…microbiologist.
