Speaking of icy new characters, Ginnifer Goodwin reveals that Snow will share a connection with Elsa. “We do cross paths, and Elsa does provide some solace in some ways,” the actress says. “She and Snow are able to relate about some things down the line in the season that I found to be surprising and powerful.”

Aye, we may just find out if (new) clothes indeed make the man. I can exclusively report that there are plans to get Hook out of his pirate gear and into clothes befitting our world — and that his new look will be debuted in the early part of Season 4. Fun fact: After Colin O’Donoghue and I took this pic during my last set visit, I tried on Killian’s coat, and that slab o’leather weighs 50 lbs. if it weighs an ounce!

Once Upon a Time: I may be losing interest in this show, but the creators sure do know how to convince me to keep watching (My thoughts on episode 3x21 “Snow Drifts” and episode 3x22 “There's No Place Like Home”)

I’ve wanted to write a review of the two-part season three finale, but for a variety of reasons, both in my control and out of my control, I’m just now getting around to it. That being said, here are my thoughts on the season three finale of Once Upon a Time.

As the title of this post suggest, I’m definitely starting to lose interest in the show, and not only am I starting to lose interest in the show, I’m also really starting to lose confidence in the writers. I’m starting to think that Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz don’t really have a long-term plan for the show, and perhaps they never have. The final scene of the season finale only added to my belief that Kitsis and Horowitz are just making stuff up as they go along. That’s something I don’t think that writers of a serialized show should be doing if they want people to view it as a good show, but I’ll talk about that more later.

Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz might not know how write the show in such a way that fills me with confidence in regards to their writing, but for the time being they sure do know how to keep me from giving up on watching the show completely. What’s kept me from giving up on the show completely at this point is the fact that there has been a lot of truly excellent material for Emma and Hook and the relationship between them this season in my humble opinion. Fortunately for me, both parts of the season finale revolved heavily around scenes between the two of them, with flashbacks of Emma’s past featured throughout both parts of the finale. Being someone who is a huge Captain Swan shipper, I absolutely loved that about the season finale.

At the beginning of the episode of the episode Emma was spending time with Mary Margaret, David and their new baby boy, who still didn’t have a name. Mary Margaret and David told Emma that they were planning to reveal his name at a makeshift coronation ceremony at Granny’s, saying that they would have had a coronation ceremony for Emma if they could have. Upon Henry showing up at Granny’s and accidentally spilling the beans to Mary Margaret and David that they are looking for an apartment in New York, Mary Margaret, David, Regina and Hook all stated their objections to the whole idea. Personally, I thought that Regina was a little out of line acting like the whole thing was her business. If I were Emma, I probably would have told Regina to piss off, but then again since she was the only mother Henry knew until he went and found Emma at the beginning of the series, it does make their whole family situation rather complicated. It’s especially complicated since Henry has said that he does still consider Regina to be his mom, or at least one of his moms now that he has been reunited with Emma.

I can’t speak for the fictional character of Emma, but Jennifer Morrison, at least, feels that the couple’s new closeness makes sense. “If you had said it to me when we first started the show, I never would have anticipated it — but the reality is that he’s a very kindred spirit,” the actress tells TVLine. “They’ve both been through similar things, they’re both survivors and they’ve both had to fight in order to literally just live. There’s also something in them where they’ll both go to great lengths to protect the people they care about — and sometimes they’ll do really bad things to do that, but they both have really good hearts, so I think they see a lot of themselves in each other.” Emma is also seeing impressive changes in the pirate. “This season in particular, because Hook has really fought for Emma to be true to herself and be the most powerful version of herself, he’s earned a tremendous amount of trust from her, and that’s what really makes it organic for Emma to feel vulnerable with him,” Morrison notes. “I know that in my own life, I have a strong reaction to people who empower me and say, ‘You should be yourself, even if it means making some mistakes.’ So the fact that he does that, and isn’t at all put off by that, makes it a good place to start a relationship.”

He explains, "Even though now technically they seem to be about the same age, Hook is old enough to kind of be his father figure, and I think an element of him still sees Neal as that little boy." ‘ONCE UPON A TIME’: JENNIFER MORRISON TEASES UPCOMING REVEAL

So, OUAT fans, you may have seen a few Hook-Emma-centric scoops in the past few days — like this photo and GIF or this piece of video. Remember those? You should. They almost broke the Internet.
But I still have so much more to share with you! Namely, the answer to two burning questions I’ve been getting often this week and one that no one has asked but I asked anyway because I’m shameless that way:

+ BURNING Q No. 1: Will there be more kisses? TBD. But Colin O’Donoghue says he can’t see any further movement happening before they get Henry back. “That should take precedence, especially considering Emma is his mother,” he says. “So it’s about whether anything can grow from that and within the confines of this quest. So I don’t know.”

+ BURNING Q No. 2: Will Neal find out about the smooch? As you know, when the big kiss happens, Emma is still under the belief that Neal is dead. But once reunited, will the truth come out? Jennifer Morrison wouldn’t say directly, but promised, “There is a point at which Emma’s truth about both Neal and Hook have to be made public.” “You can imagine a million ways in which it will happen, and you will not imagine the way it will happen,” she teases.

BURNING Q No. 3: So…is Hook a good kisser? After a huge laugh, Morrison says, “Listen, I have no complaints on this show. I’ve gotten to kiss Jamie Dornan, Michael Raymond-James, and Colin O’Donoghue. I think I’m doing OK.”

Once Upon a Time: Episode 3x05 "Good Form" Promo (HD)

Once Upon a Time: Welcome to Neverland, Everybody! (My thoughts on episode 3x01 “The Heart of the Truest Believer”)

Going into season two of Once Upon a Time, I have to admit that I was very skeptical about whether or not the show was going to be very good due to the addition of several series regulars and several new recurring guest-star roles, because I’ve always felt like Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz don’t do the best job of handling the ensemble nature of the show and balancing out the screen time for all of the characters at times. To me, they tend to come across as being like children who are given a new toy to play with; they get excited about the new characters and the actors who play them, so they feature them a lot when they are first introduced, and then once they add another new recurring character to the show, they push that character into the background and feature the new characters a lot until the next time they add another new character to the show. At this point, it appears to be an endless cycle with them doing that, and it’s something that I wish the writers would stop doing on a constant basis. Personally, I think they should just focus on the characters that they already have on the show for a while before they add too many more new characters to the show.

Despite my skepticism about the introduction of several new characters last season, I ended up thoroughly enjoying the addition of Colin O’Donoghue and the character Captain Hook to the show and season two as a whole. I now consider Captain Hook to be one of my favorite characters on the show, so I’m thrilled that they made Colin a series regular, which is something I was definitely a little leery about at first.

I’ll admit that season two ended up being much better than I thought it was going to be. It wasn’t perfect, but it was still pretty good. That being said, unlike the end of season one, the two-part season two finale left me feeling very excited for season three and very optimistic that season three is going to be very good and full of excitement. As a whole, I thought the season premiere was pretty good, and while I’m on the subject of Captain Hook, I have to say that the scenes between Captain Hook and Emma were definitely one of the biggest highlights of the episode for me. I especially felt like the scenes where they were bonding over their respective relationships with Baelfire/Neal really allowed both the writers and Captain Hook as a character to really demonstrate some of Captain Hook’s good qualities. I think that’s important since Captain Hook has done some questionable things at times.

Based on the season two finale, a big part of me thinks that Emma will end up with Neal at the end of series given how they acted during the scene where Neal fell through the portal back to the Enchanted Forrest. However, I for one am rooting for Emma to end up Captain Hook. I feel like Jennifer Morrison and Colin O’Donoghue have amazing chemistry with each other, and I think that having Emma and Captain Hook become a couple would give the writers some great material to work with. For starters, I would love to see how Snow White and Charming would react to them being a couple since neither of them seems to like Captain Hook all that much. To me, Emma being romantically involved with Captain Hook would be the equivalent of parents having to deal with their teenage daughter dating the high school’s bad boy.

Or, Michael Raymond-James was just photo bombing his pals on their own set…? Because Neal’s road home will not be an easy one. “This show never seems to be short in the obstacles department,” Raymond-James shares. “It’s one of those things where the answer to one problem usually leads to seven more problems that one needs to overcome. So there’s some tough sledding ahead, I’ll say that.”

How has Once Upon a Time‘s Emma not questioned or had a glimmer of hope that Neal might have been saved? –ratinhos
Fair point. So we asked Jennifer Morrison if Emma might start to somehow “sense” that Neal survived his portal plunge. But she maintained, “They have no sense in Neverland what happened with Neal.” And as for Emma’s instincts, “Because of everything she has been through — and especially having been through so much loss with Neal — for her own sanity, she has to assume that he is dead.”

Any clues on Regina’s Once Upon a Time love interest? –Natalie
You think you’re anxious to meet Regina’s romantic interest? How about poor Lana Parrilla, who when we saw her on the set Thursday had yet to start shooting that storyline. But with an eye on it, she said, “I’m like, ‘What?! I don’t think she’s kissed anyone in like 200 years.’ Well, [except for] the Huntsman. But there is something coming up. And I will say: Regina has not met him. But maybe the audience has.”

As Jennifer Morrison explained to me, “Unfortunately for Regina at this point, she is so wrapped up in her own sort of mess with her mother being in town and the complications of that relationship, and sort of her failing at trying to not use magic, she sort of misses seeing her opportunity [with Henry]. She does make a move to get him back, but she doesn’t necessarily make the most strategic move, based on the circumstances.”

House Cancelled: 3 Things About The Finale In May 2012-TVLine

Now that Fox has announced that House will be ending in May, here's some scoop on the end of the series from TVLine's Michael Ausiello:

1 | The series finale will shoot in early April and will be directed by series creator David Shore, who will also co-write the hour (his script partner is TBD).

2 | There’s a good chance we’ll see some familiar faces return before Princeton-Plainsboro closes its doors for good, but which ones? Over the summer, Shore told TVLine that he would “love” for Hugh Laurie’s former leading lady, Lisa Edelstein, to check back in prior to the last episode. A source, however, says no formal discussions have begun. One alum you can count on returning for the swan song is Olivia Wilde. Prior to her exit this fall, the actress agreed to put in one last appearance as Thirteen should this be the final season. And although Jennifer Morrison is currently gainfully employed on ABC’s Once Upon a Time, she recently told TVLine that it would be an “absolute dream” to slip back into Cameron’s scrubs for the finale, adding, “That show was such an important part of my life, and I loved playing that character and I loved that group of actors.”

3 | You may see Chase, Foreman and Co. back on TV next fall. The early announcement, coming at the start of pilot season’s casting phase, frees the show’s ensemble up to attach themselves to potential new series. Don’t look for Hugh Laurie to pursue a tube return anytime soon though. “I’m sure he’s looking forward to a nice long break from the weekly grind,” shares an insider.

My thoughts: I've only seen a few episodes this season, so I don't know how they wrote Cuddy out, but I hope they bring Lisa Edelstein back for at least an episode or two, along with Olivia Wilde and Jennifer Morrison so the writers can pay tribute to their characters.

Once Upon a Time: Jennifer Morrison Reveals "Mysterious" New Love Interest Is Coming!-E! Online

According to E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos and Tierney Bricker, Jennifer Morrison revealed to Kristin during an interview at the Telivision Critics Association press tour that Emma is going to be getting a new love interest soon. Morrison gives some information regarding Emma's new love interest in the following excerpt from the article:


The mysterious stranger will be played by Eion Bailey, whom Morrison calls "a lovely and very talented actor." Like Graham, the mysterious stranger may start buying into Henry's (Jared Gilmore) fairytale theory sooner than the other characters. "I think the mysterious stranger is one of those people who may be a part of that," Morrison teases. "He's going to have some knowledge that some of the other people in town don't have."

Once Upon a Time: Episode 9 "True North" Preview--Jennifer Morrison-TVLine

“This is actually one of my favorite episodes,” Jennifer Morrison says of bounty hunter-by-trade Emma’s mission to track down the Maine moppets’ birth dad, before they are put into the foster care system.

“Since you can’t flash back to my life in fairytale land, because it never happened, they’re using Hansel and Gretel as they did Cinderella [in "The Price of Gold"] to reveal some of Emma’s backstory,” the actress explains. “So what Emma goes through to try and help these children ends up becoming very personal for her, as her own life [as a foster kid] is in a sense revealed.”

Once Upon a Time Courting Joanna Garcia, and We Totally Called It!-E! Online

It's official. We are in control of the casting on Once Upon a Time.

How do we know? We just chatted with Jennifer Morrison at the American Music Awards yesterday, and not only did she admit that they have seen our Once Upon a Time Dream Cast gallery, but apparently they're taking one of our ideas and running with it!

"They are after Joanna Garcia for one of the roles, which would be amazing," Morrison reveals. And while she wouldn't say which character they want for Garcia, we hear that OUAT is pursuing a storyline for Ariel from The Little Mermaid, so let's just put two and two together, shall we?


OK, they might have come up with this casting choice before our gallery, but it makes us so feel so much cooler if we just believe that they are listening to our casting choices. Plus, Morrison told us that they were big fans of our gallery.

"E! just did this thing where they [picked] their ideal cast, which was cool. That was really fun!" she says. "We were all like, 'Oh my gosh, that it really fun to look at!'"

But we're not the only ones dreaming up casting choices for OUAT. Morrison also has her eye on a certain somebody. "I would love for Rose Byrne to be on the show at some point," she tells us. "I feel like she'd be an amazing, amazing fairy-tale character." We are absolutely on board with this casting choice, but who would you pick for her fairy-tale character?

Need one more thing to get excited about? A OUAT musical episode could definitely happen! "We all sing," Morrison says. "Josh Dallas, Ginny Goodwin, me. I don't know if Robert Carlyle sings. He probably does. I feel like we have a lot of musically inclined people in the cast. We'll see!"
