Great News: Diana related scoop and more on episode 2x03 "Honeypot!" from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams

http://s1.ibtimes.com/sites/www.ibtimes.com/files/styles/embed/public/2017/10/04/tina-fey-diana-st-tropez.JPG

Here's some scoop on Great News from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams' The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 10/12/17.

I read that this week’s episode of Great News is especially timely. What should we expect? — Breanne
Expect to see Tina Fey leaning into her inner Jack Donaghy to play Diana in scenes where she takes advantage of her position at the network to make her employees (including Carol!) uncomfortable. And though the episode had been written long before this week’s news cycle surrounding Harvey Weinstein, much of what the staff says in it applies to any harassment case. But don’t worry if this all sounds too heavy for a comedy series: The show mines humor out of Katie’s realization of who her mentor is — and the final act delivers a kooky twist in the vein of 30 Rock.

Ausiello: Not only is she coming back, she’s taking the show on the road — to Florida, where (from what I can tell) she’s being moved into a retirement home full of Chatty Cathys.

30 Rock: Jack and Liz related scoop from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on 30 Rock from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat for Monday 11/5/12.

Eddie: Not much 30 Rock scoop coming from you guys…and it's the final season! I'll forgive you for some good Jack-Liz spoilers.
An upcoming tragedy will bring Jack and Liz together in a way that 30 Rock has not done before. And when we say "tragedy," we mean a real one. Not one like: Jenna is making a sequel to Rural Juror. Although that would be equally horrible.

Parks and Recreation: Scoop on the season 5 premiere from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Parks and Recreation from this week's (Posted on 9/18/12) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Anything left to offer on Parks and Recreation? If not, I’ll gladly take something on 30 Rock. Thanks. – Leah
Ausiello: Thursday’s Parks opener will answer the age-old question, “Is Pawnee big enough for two pigs named Tom?” Also, a couple breaks up in the premiere. (Kind of.) And Leslie and Ben do dirty things on Skype. On the 30 Rock front, Jack McBrayer was on my Tuesday morning flight from New York to L.A. I assume he’s out here for Sunday’s Emmys.

30 Rock: Scoop on the possibility of Will Forte guest-starring in the final season from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on 30 Rock from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat Daily for Thursday 7/26/12.

Frankie: I need 30 Rock final season scoop. Specifically, about the best couple on TV: Jenna and Paul!
As of now, Will Forte has not yet been scheduled to film a guest spot for 30 Rock. How do we know? We're freaking magical. Just kidding, he told us so. "I never know what's going on. I just get a call saying 'Oh, we want you to come back and do another one," he says. "I'm always delighted to get the call to come back, but it could end at any moment. Those writers are so good and they could find some other really fun thing for Jenna to do but I'm delighted to be a part of that show." And we are delighted to see you in drag, Will.

30 Rock: Scoop on the final season from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on 30 Rock from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat Daily for Friday 6/1/12.

Sarah: Any scoop on 30 Rock's final season?!
Believe us, we'd love to share some 30 Rock endgame tidbits with you, but it's kind of hard when even the actors have no idea what's going to happen! "One thing I really hope that happens is that they really give every character, like, a good wrap up," Katrina Bowden tells us. "I have no idea what they're going to do or how it's going to end." As for fans holding out for a Jack and Liz hookup? Don't hold your breath! "That might be weird. They're like brother and sister!" Bowden says.

Jake in Miami: What can we expect from 30 Rock's final season?!
If it's up to Elizabeth Banks, Alec Baldwin's onscreen paramour, Jack might be experiencing a career change. "I hope he's running the company, but I really doubt it," she tells us of Jack's future. "Something tells me he's retiring to Italy or something. He'll be the mayor of New York!" As for how she feels about the final season? "All good things come to an end!"

30 Rock: Criss, Jenna and Paul related scoop from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on 30 Rock from this week's (Posted on 4/24/12) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any intel on how long James Marsden’s Criss will be around on 30 Rock? — Leah
Ausiello: Frankly, I’m surprised he’s stuck around as long as he has. Nothing against Marsden, but I always assumed when the time came for Liz to settle down she’d so with Michael Sheen’s Wesley. But as Tina Fey points out, the road to happiness is full of unexpected twists and turns. “It’s interesting because [the chemistry between Liz and Criss] wasn’t necessarily something we planned on,” she says. “But I will say that James fits the show so nicely and he’s such a pleasure to have around. He plays all the jokes so well, and as a character, Criss seems to be very good for Liz. She’s always kind of bumped up against people who were so much like her, similar to her, and his kind of oppositeness has played out nicely. So I don’t know — maybe she’ll end up with Criss!”

Question: You mentioned that Jenna and Paul take their relationship to the next level in 30 Rock‘s live episode this week — care to elaborate? —Anna
Ausiello: I think I’ll let Jane Krakowski field this one. “I think after we’ve had our little sexual walkabout, Jenna realizes that Paul probably is the man for her — the schman for her,” she says with a laugh. “And they progress with their romance and their love story in the only way that 30 Rock could bring forward. We sort of have a very, I think, somewhat realistic storyline in this one, and romantic.”

30 Rock: Scoop on the season 6 finale-TVLine

Here's some scoop on the season 6 finale of 30 Rock from TVLine's season finale slideshow.

Airs: May 17

What to Expect | "Stuff happens," says exec producer Robert Carlock of the two-part finale, which marks the return of Jack's imprisoned fiancé Avery (Elizabeth Banks). "Her release is secured and she comes back to a complicated life." Liz, meanwhile, finds herself "in a new situation in her personal life" that involves boyfriend Criss (James Marsden). "Our hope is that we will surprise people with how things end for Liz and Criss," says Carlock, before quickly adding, "or don't end, for that matter."

30 Rock: Elizabeth Banks Returns--Season 6-TVLine

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, Elizabeth Banks will be returning to 30 Rock for the first time in over a year. Here's an excerpt from the article, which gives some scoop on Banks' return as well as the upcoming live episode:

The busy Hunger Games actress has signed on to reprise her role as Jack’s (Alec Baldwin) other half — who’s currently being detained in North Korea and married against her will to Kim Jong-un — during May sweeps, TVLine has learned.

In other 30 Rock news, NBC officially confirmed earlier today that the show will go live again on Thursday, April 26. Here’s the (rather revealing) logline for the episode: “When their Kabletown bosses announce they will no longer pay for TGS to be a live show, Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy realize their lives will actually be easier if they shoot canned episodes fast and cheap. Only Kenneth the Page objects, urging that nothing can replace the communal experience of live television. He tries to convince the TGS staff to fight for their right to be live by taking them and our audience through a magical look back at the illustrious history of Studio 6H.”

30 Rock: Scoop on Jon Hamm possibly returning to the show from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on 30 Rock from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat Daily for Thursday 3/22/12.

Claire in Pikeville, Ky.: So psyched 30 Rock is doing another live episode! Would Jon Hamm return for it?
Great question. Let's ask Jon Hamm, shall we? "If they ask I'll happily do it," he tells us. "It was a lot of fun to do and again, I'm always of the opinion that if they ask me then I'll happily do it, but for right now I'm just happy to get [Mad Men] out into the world." So, your hit TV show which you star in comes first before 30 Rock? How rude, Mr. Hamm!

30 Rock: Scoop on Katrina Bowden's future with the show from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on 30 Rock from this week's (Posted on 3/20/12) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: What the hell happened to Katrina Bowden on 30 Rock? Is she off the show? —Richard Ausiello: Not completely, although an insider confirms that her contract option was not picked up last June, which explains her relative invisibility this season. However, that same source tells me that Bowden will make a few more guest appearances before the end of the season.

30 Rock: Scoop from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on 30 Rock from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat for the week of 1/30/12.

Lisa in Thousand Oaks, Calif.: 30 Rock! I'm so glad it's back.
You said it! It feels like it's been off the air for years. We grabbed Judah Friedlander and John Lutz last night at the SAG Awards, who happily told us that 30 Rock has no repeats in the upcoming weeks. Praise Tina! Even better? "The Valentine's Day episode, which is in two weeks, is an hour episode," Friedlander says. "Lutz actually might get some action. I can't say too much, but Tracy and I actually help Lutz on Valentine's Day." Love is truly in the air for the TGS crew.

The Lying Game Casts Charisma Carpenter in Season 1A, Patricia Cornwell Guest Stars on Criminal Minds-TVLine

Fresh off her celebrated visit to Supernatural, Whedonverse alum Charisma Carpenter has landed a recurring role on the upcoming season of ABC Family’s The Lying Game, playing Char’s aunt Rebecca aka “Annie, ” TVGuide.com reports. The nickname might be slightly confusing for viewers given the fact that it’s also the name of the twins’ long-lost birth mother, but rest assured these two are vastly different women.

If you’re wondering if anything will be made of Carpenter’s slight resemblance to series lead Alexandra Chando, a source tells us that Rebecca will factor into the larger mystery of who the twins’ birth mother is.

Ready for more of today’s TV dish? Well…

• Crime novelist Patricia Cornwell (she of the sometimes literally mouth-watering Kay Scarpetta series) will guest-star on CBS’ Criminal Minds as herself, TVLine has confirmed. In the hit procedural’s Jan. 18 episode, Cornwell will be seen speaking at the “2012 Great Lakes Violent Crime Seminar” in Chicago, before she introduces Reid (played by Matthew Gray Gubler) as the next speaker.

• Mary Steenburgen has landed a multi-ep arc on NBC’s 30 Rock, playing Charlotte, “the highly spirited and attractive” mother of Elizabeth Banks’ Avery, per EW.com. 30 Rock returns with new episodes at midseason.

• And just like that, all is right with the world… ABC’s Suburgatory has officially promoted Ana Gasteyer to series regular, EW.com reports. The Saturday Night Live vet had been recurring on the quirky freshman comedy as George and Tessa’s nosy neighbor, Sheila.

• Showtime has renewed the docu-series The Real L Word for a third season, which for the first time will go bi(-coastal), shooting in both Los Angeles and New York.
