Grey's Anatomy: Scoop on Jo and Alex's relationship and Bailey related scoop from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Grey's Anatomy from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 10/11/13.

Ashlee: Grey's spoilers, whatever you got.
Justin Chambers told us that fans can expect some really great interaction between him and Jo the intern. "I'm enjoying Camilla Luddington. She's a great actress. We have some fun stuff coming up. I think people are gonna be really excited about what we're doing," he tells us. "These new interns that are coming in have added such great flavor." Meanwhile, Chandra Wilson promises that Bailey will be working on getting her mojo back. "She's trying to. You know, because as a surgeon, you really do have to go by your gut a lot of times," she says. "Because it's not something you can see, it's not showing up on a scan, you know, the visual field isn't what it needs to be, but your gut is telling you something else. And you know, it was about time for Bailey to depend on her gut."

Grey's Anatomy: Scoop on the season 10 premiere (Episode 10x01 "Seal Our Fate") and Bailey related scoop on season 10 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Grey's Anatomy from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 8/20/13.

Fiona: Sad to see Sandra leaving Grey's, but I'm a Bailey girl! What's my favorite doc up to?
Trying to keep it together, and according to Chandra Wilson, she won't be succeeding at that. Though she says Bailey "came back into her own" by saving Meredith in the finale, going forward she'll still have to deal with being responsible for two patients dying from staph infection. Those damn gloves! "It lives with her," Wilson tells us. "Her hands are her most important thing." Another little tidbit about the season 10 premiere: It picks up right where we left off, with hopefully the Chief getting up off the floor.

Grey's Anatomy: Scoop on the future of the hospital from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Grey's Anatomy from this week's (Posted on 2/5/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any scoop on Grey’s Anatomy‘s Meredith, especially surgeon/hospital-related? —Tia
Ausiello: The popular theory going around is that the Survivors (Mer included) will use their settlement winnings to bail out Seattle Grace, thereby giving them all an ownership stake in the hospital. But would that be a good thing? Chandra Wilson isn’t so certain. “I’m not sure [Bailey sees] a good end to any of it, especially if the ‘children’ take over the house,” she says of the current financial crisis that has the staff on edge. “It feels like a sinking ship.” Bailey’s primary concern remains a selfish one. “She has no stake in the game whatsoever,” Wilson points out. “She doesn’t have any money to [offer]. She’s just trying not to lose a job. She does have a husband that lives out of state, so that’s a consideration for her, too.”

Grey’s Anatomy: Can we all agree that Bailey is awesome? (My thoughts on episode 9x06 “Second Opinion”)

I have to say that I’ve been thoroughly enjoying season nine so far, and I’m as addicted to watching Grey’s Anatomy as I’ve always been, if not more than I was before. I absolutely loved this episode; all of the storylines in this episode were great in my personal opinion. Although, that quickly brings me to the one complaint that I have with this episode. While I liked all of the storylines in this episode, at the same time I also thought that this episode had too many storylines in it. It definitely felt jam packed with various plots and subplots and the episode just felt extremely cluttered as a whole.

That being said, I feel it would be appropriate for me to make a bullet point list of all the storylines in this episode. Here are all of the storylines that were featured in this episode in no particular order:

  • Meredith, Derek, Callie, Owen and Christina continue to meet with lawyers regarding seeking a settlement for the plane crash

  • Derek arguing with Callie about trying to repair the damage that was done to his hand in the plane crash

  • Cristina returning to work at Seattle Grace and supervising new interns

  • Alex trying to buy Meredith’s old house and arguing with her about getting minor issues with the house repaired

  • Jo (One of the interns) treating a man who works as a Santa Claus and was repeatedly vomits on her throughout the episode

  • Jo and the other interns gossiping about Alex

  • Bailey trying to convince Arizona to help her treat a patient

  • Jackson and April continuing their fling, but Jackson gets upset when April constantly compares them having sex to terrible things

  • Jackson dealing with the fact that he keeps getting emails from Richard and his mother that are meant to be sent to the two of them and not him

I apologize if I’ve omitted any storylines that were featured in the episode from my list, because there really were a lot of storylines to keep track of. It’s also impossible for me to comment on each of them, but I’m going to try and comment on the storylines that I liked the most.

Grey's Anatomy: Scoop on the future of Bailey and Ben's relationship from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez

Here's some scoop on Grey's Anatomy from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez's The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 11/20/12.

CHANDRA WILSON ON BAILEY’S FUTURE … AND GREY’S ANATOMY

If you read my chat with Grey’s Anatomy‘s Chandra Wilson last week, then you know that Bailey will spend the next episodes “kicking and screaming” her way to the altar. But one thing Wilson thinks might help Bailey get into the groove a bit more? If Ben put a ring on it!

“My finger is light, that’s all I’m saying. It’s very, very light,” she says, laughing. “And he used to be an anesthesiologist. You’d think there would be some sort of bling involved. But her finger is rather light — at least for 2012. So we’ll see what happens going forward.” But regardless of Bailey’s left hand gets a little heavier, Wilson says Bailey is committed. “She’s going to see [it] through,” she says. “You can’t tell somebody you’re going to marry them and then play around.”

And while Bailey and Ben could have many happy years ahead of them, as always, questions are starting to arise about Grey‘s future. Now midway though its ninth season, Wilson says she is anything but tired. And while there won’t be official word about a tenth season for several months, she says she’s personally on board. “I think the consensus is that as long as our writers want to keep writing, we’re here to keep riding the ride,” she says. “As actors, we’re very cognizant of the opportunities we’ve been given. Sooner or later it will be the end.”

Grey's Anatomy: Scoop on Eric Dane's exit from the show in season 9 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Grey's Anatomy from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat Daily for Thursday 8/16/12.

Tamie in St. Louis: I can't take not knowing if they are killing Eric Dane off Grey's! Any idea what the plan is?
Well, we're not going to sugarcoat it, but when we spoke to Chandra Wilson, it didn't sound good. Mostly because she was talking about taking care of him and "stroking" him (we assume his face) in the beginning of the season. "I really appreciate the way that we have taken care of him in the beginning of the season," Wilson tells us. "I think it's something that Grey's fans will really appreciate. We get to stroke him a lot in the beginning of our season." However, she assured us that someone who is gone from the show will not be forgotten. "It doesn't matter if the characters aren't there anymore. We just talk about him all the time!" she laughs. Let's hope they aren't using past tense when talking about McSteamy.

Grey's Anatomy: Scoop on Chandra Wilson's reaction to the season 8 finale from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Grey's Anatomy from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat Daily for Wednesday 5/16/12.

Elainecorreal: The season finale of Grey's Anatomy sounds insane? What can you tell us?
Stock up on Kleenex, people!  "Come for the ride, bring your tissue box, but it's good. It's all good," Chandra Wilson tells us of the finale. "There are sad things that will happen. There are fun things that will happen if you can believe that. I think the fun things will provide some relief from the sad things." Our hearts are not ready!

Grey's Anatomy: Stars Sign New Two-Year Deals-TVLine

According to TVLine's Megan Masters, Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, Justin Chambers, James Pickens, Jr. and Chandra Wilson have all signed new two-year contracts with the show. Here's a quote from Shonda Rhimes that was included in the article, which gives some scoop on how the cast's previously uncertain futures with the show affected her plans for the season:

Showrunner Shonda Rhimes told TVLine in January that she was resolved to designing a fitting finale to Grey’s current eighth season, despite not knowing which members of the original cast would and would not return next fall.

“[It] was the most complex puzzle I’ve had to put together — ever,” she shared. ”We have all these moveable pieces of who’s coming back and who’s not, and finally I just decided to focus on what was going to be best creatively [and] make it work regardless of what is happening [off screen].”

ABC has yet to formally order a ninth season of Grey’s; the network reveals its 2012-13 TV schedule next Tuesday.

My thoughts: I'm beyond thrilled that Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers, James Pickens, Jr. and Chandra Wilson have all signed new contracts with the show since I love all of their characters. However, I have to admit that since I've never really liked the character Christina, a big part of me was hoping that Sandra Oh wasn't going to sign a new contract and that she would be leaving the show. Don't get me wrong, I like Sandra Oh as an actress in the other things that I've seen her in, it's just that I've never really liked the character Christina.
