OwlCrate Unboxing: September 2018 (Masters of Disguise)

My September @owlcrate box came today, and I love it! I’ve really been in the mood to read a lot of fantasy books for the past several months, so I’m super excited to read the August book of the month, Mirage by @somaiiiya. I plot of Mirage sounds really cool. 😀 As for the items that were included in this month’s box, my favorite item is definitely the Harry Potter mug. The picture on the mug is beyond cool! Even though I usually take showers, I’m really excited to try the Nemesis foaming bath soak, which was made by @leeloosoap. 😀 I’m also excited try the lip balm that was inspired by The Kiss of Deception. 😀 I don’t know how much I’ll actually use them, but I also really love the fingerless gloves. 😀 Even though I still need to read @veschwab’s Shades of Magic trilogy, I also love the art print of Lila Bird. Bookstagram: A Box set Purchase

Here's a picture of the box set of Jenny Han's To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy that I bought, which came in the mail last week.

My box set of @jennyhan’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy came in the mail earlier in the week! 😀 I’ve always had VERY mixed feelings about the YA romance genre that go all the way back to when I was a teenager, but I’ve heard a lot of really great things about this series, and I think it sounds like a really fun series to read and review for my blog; especially since the romance genre is definitely my favorite genre of books to write reviews for. I know that I’m probably not the target audience for the romance genre since I’m a guy, but I really do have a lot of fun reading books that are a part of the romance genre, and writing reviews for romance genre makes the genre even more enjoyable for me to read than it has already always been to begin with. OwlCrate Unboxing: May 2018 (Fight Like A Girl)

Here's what was included in my May 2018 OwlCrate box, which came in the mail today. The theme for March's box is "Fight Like A Girl".

My May @owlcrate box came today, and I absolutely love, love, love it! I’ve always really enjoyed stories that involve strong female protagonists, so I’m very excited to read Sky in the Deep by @adrienneyoungbooks. As weird and random as this might sound, after reading the plot synopsis for Sky in the Deep that’s on the cover, I’ve decided to include Sky in the Deep in my dysfunctional families themed TBR for June, which is something that I’ve been planning for months. I honestly love all of items that they’ve included in this month’s box, but my favorite item is definitely the copy of Catching Stars by @caylakeenan1. It also sounds like a really interesting book, so I’m very excited to read it as well. Based on the picture that’s on the side of the container, I think the wall hanging looks really cool. Most of the time, I don’t get too excited about the art prints that are included in OwlCrate boxes, but I really love the Six of Crows art print. It’s definitely my favorite out of all the art prints that I’ve received in OwlCrate boxes. 😀 I love both of the pins that were included in this month’s box, but I especially love the Hermione Granger themed pin. 😀 I also love the Wrath and the Dawn/Flame in the Mist tassel bookmark. 😀 All in all, this is definitely an especially fun and awesome OwlCrate box. #owlcrate #owlcrateunboxing #bookstagram #bookhaul #bookaholic #bookaddict #bookblogger #bookblog #skyinthedeep #adrienneyoung #harrypotter #acourtofthornsandroses #sixofcrows #flameinthemist #thewrathandthedawn #reneeahdieh #thechildrenofbloodandbone

Bookstagram: Fantasy Genre Themed May Book Haul

Here are some books that I bought on Amazon, which came in the mail earlier in the week.

My copy of the first book in @michael.j.sullivan’s The Riyria Revelations series, Theft of Swords, came in the mail Monday! 😀 My copies of @therealsjmaas’ new book, A Court of Frost and Starlight, @ladyhawkins’ new book, Royals, and my copy of the last book in @amytintera’s Ruined trilogy, Allied, came in the mail yesterday! I’m really looking forward to reading all of these books, but I’m especially excited to read Theft of Swords and A Court of Frost and Starlight. My review for the third book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series (A Court of Wings and Ruin) quickly became one of my most read book reviews that I’ve posted on my blog shortly after I posted it, so I’m hoping that I’ll be able to start reading A Court of Frost and Starlight either today or tomorrow. I’d really like to get my review for A Court of Frost and Starlight written and posted on my blog fairly soon. I’ve had my eyes on Sullivan’s books for a very long time, so I’m also hoping to read Theft of Swords fairly soon. Here are some books that I bought on Amazon, which came in the mail this past Tuesday.

My copy of @wendyspinale’s new book, Ozland, @lauraksebastian’s new book, Ash Princess, and @laurenblakelybooks’ book, The Knocked Up Plan, came in the mail today! I was introduced to the Everland series when I received the first book in the series, Everland, in an @owlcrate box. Given my love of fairytales and fairytale retellings, it quickly became a series that I wanted to continue reading after that. I’m definitely looking forward to reading Ozland. 😀 Ash Princess sounds really interesting, so I’m really looking forward to reading it. 😀 While Lauren Blakely has written a lot of books that I want to read, out of all the books that Blakely has published since I read her book Big Rock back in 2016, The Knocked Up Plan is definitely the one that I’m the most excited to read. OwlCrate Unboxing: April 2018 (Shadows & Secrets)

Here's what I got in my April 2018 OwlCrate box, which came in the mail yesterday. The theme for March's box is "Shadows & Secrets".

My April @owlcrate box came in the mail today, and I absolutely love it! I’m beyond excited about the April book of the month being Ace of Shades by @amandafoody, because based on everything that I’ve heard about Ace of Shades, it couldn’t be any more up my alley if it tried to be. I absolutely love morally ambiguous characters, so Ace of Shades sounds perfect for me. 😀 I’m planning to read it at the beginning of next month. 😀 My favorite thing in this month’s box is without a doubt the coffee. 😀 Even though I’m 30 years old, I’ve actually never drank hot coffee before, because I used to hate the smell of coffee, and I prefer to drink cold beverages. However, I’m really excited to try the coffee that they included in this month’s box. 😀 I also love the pillowcase. 😀 @stephanie_garber’s Caraval continues to be one of my top five favorite OwlCrate books of the month that I’ve received, and Legendary is one of my most anticipated May book releases, so I’m beyond thrilled that they included a sampler for Legendary that includes the first four chapters of the book in this month’s box, along with a note from Stephanie Garber. My copies of @kendareblake’s new book, Queens of Fennbirn, @karen_rock_author’s new book, Bad Boy Rancher, and @catschield’s new book, Upstairs Downstairs Baby, came in mail today! Blake’s book, Three Dark Crowns, is definitely one of my favorite books that I’ve received from @owlcrate, and Three Dark Crowns definitely left me wanting to continue reading the series, so I’m very excited to read Queens of Fennbirn, along with One Dark Thrown, which I bought back when it was released. @harlequinbooks’ Billionaires & Babies series is definitely one of my favorite Harlequin Desire series, so I’m very excited to read Upstairs Downstairs Baby. While I love the Harlequin Desire series, I also want to explore some of Harlequin’s other series for the purpose of reviewing more of their books for my blog. I’m definitely excited to check out Harlequin’s Heartwarming series by reading Rock’s Rocky Mountain Cowboys miniseries. Book Haul: End of March Book Purchase

Here's a book that I bought at the end of March when it was released in stores on March 27th.

I meant to post a picture on Tuesday, but I was really busy that day, and I forgot. My copy of @tessa.gratton’s new book, The Queens of Innis Lear came in the mail this Tuesday. I’m only on chapter seven, but I’m absolutely loving this book so far. 😀 I originally heard about this book when I watched video that @thoughtsontomes posted on her BookTube (YouTube) channel where she mentions this book. I’ve been a huge fan of Shakespeare’s work ever since I read Romeo and Juliet in my ninth grade English class, and I’m also big fan of Game of Thrones, so as soon as I heard that this book was somewhat of a retelling of Shakespeare’s play King Lear, while also being compared to Game of Thrones, I knew that I definitely had to buy this book. My favorite character so far is definitely The Fox A.K.A. My copy of @laurenblakelybooks’ new book, Wanderlust, came in the mail today, and my copy of the @harlequinbooks Presents novel, Consequence of His Revenge by Dani Collins, came in the mail earlier this week. I reviewed Lauren Blakely’s book Big Rock for my blog back in 2016, and I’ve been wanting to read and review more of Blakely’s books for my blog ever since then, so I’m definitely very excited to read Wanderlust.
