My thoughts: I'm beyond thrilled that Hart of Dixie has been renewed for a second season. I think it's a really great show. I'm definitely sad about Ringer and The Secret Circle being canceled. Ringer was a really great show, and I really liked it. I'm a huge Gale Harold fan, so I really wanted to check out The Secret Circle, but I guess that I missed out on watching it.

Ausiello: Despite that pesky pregnancy wrinkle, Siobhan won’t be lying low now that she’s back in New York. “She’s not someone who just sits back and watches, so she’s going to get involved in the action,” says exec producer Eric Charmelo. “But her window for [remaining inconspicuous] is slowly shrinking because she’s pregnant and she’s showing. There’s only so much time that she has to allow this interplay to happen.”

What juicy goodness is on tap for Ringer‘s return? Can Morgan succeed with his most critical mission ever? Will baby talk waylay Big Bang‘s nerdy wedding plans? Read on for those answers, plus other teases from TV’s hottest shows.


Ringer | Since this CW series’ 2012 return got pushed back a few weeks [groan], I thought I’d help soothe fans over with some teasers. Overall, I am told, the new year we will serve up new reveals about the backstories of all of the characters. For example, we will find out what exactly caused the rift between Siobhan and Bridget and get the 411 on the precise catalyst for Henry and Siobhan’s love affair. Looking forward versus back, Andrew will propose anew to his “wife” (awww), we’ll get a peek inside Agent Machado’s personal life, and, of course, you should be prepared for the body count to grow….

The Big Bang Theory | Based on the buzz at the CBS hitcom’s 100th episode party, all signs point to Howard and Bernadette heading for a wedding this season… that is, provided they can get past a tot-sized problem. In an upcoming episode, Simon Helberg says, we will see that “Bernadette has a violent reaction to children.” Meaning…? ” She is not as soft as she seems. She turns into a bit of a werewolf,” Helberg adds. “And when he sees the eyes and the claws come out, all of a sudden he’s like, ‘Wait a second. We need to talk about children.’” Melissa Rauch, who plays Helberg’s TV fiancée, is game to tackle that twist, noting, “There aren’t a lot of women portrayed who don’t get all baby-crazy.”

Blue Bloods | Dipping into the reader mailbag, Kristen writes, “I’d love to get some scoop on Blood Bloods as an early Christmas present, preferably about the woefully underused Abigail Hawk, who plays Baker. Plus, any scoop about Erin would not be unappreciated.” Alas I’ve got nothing to report on the imminent horizon for Baker, but I can tell you that when the CBS drama returns on Jan. 6, Erin will be devastated and wracked by guilt when a confidential informant who has been aiding her in a corruption investigation meets a (gulp) most unfortunate fate.

Switched at Birth | Speaking with Constance Marie, who plays Regina, at ABC Family’s skating party, I asked about the “skeletons” said to be hiding in the closet of Bay’s recently resurfaced biological father. “Yes, he does have skeletons — and he is also not too bad to look at,” she said with a nod to Angela’s portrayer, Gilles Marini. “The good news is that we get to explore the relationship of a father who wasn’t there, a flawed father… a handsome-looking father… and the relationship between him and I — is it over, is it not over?” As for Angelo’s dynamic with Daphne, Katie Leclerc told me, “Things get nasty” between the two when Season 1 resumes Jan. 3.

Happy Endings | Thus far on ABC’s buzzy sophomore comedy, we’ve met Penny’s mother, Max’s parents, and Michael McKean (Smallville) is on his way to play Dave’s dad. So where be Jane and Alex’s folks? “What I’ve been kind of told,” Eliza Coupe shared with us, “is that they’re going to wait until hopefully a third season, or maybe the end of this year” to introduce viewers to the sisters’ parents. Until then, Coupe and her TV sib have batted around the occasional guest-casting idea, including one that would put an exclamation point on the 24 in-joke made during Season 1. “I was joking about Kiefer Sutherland playing our dad — it’d be so original for Elisha [Cuthbert], wouldn’t it? ” Coupe says. “I also said Jim Carrey, because I want in some capacity to work with him. But that one’s a bit of a stretch.”

Chuck | Morgan may have lost his frosted tips (thank god), but during his rough patch with the Intersect he also lost the girl. So now, continuing through the terrific Christmas episode (airing Dec. 23), the rookie spy will do his best to rescue his love life. “Morgan’s going to be desperate to try to get Alex back, but it’s not an easy thing,” says series cocreator Chris Fedak. After all, “He broke up [with her] on a text [message]. He turned into a douche.” The key to succeeding in this off-the-books mission, says Joshua Gomez, lies in “being persistent, as Morgan often is, and maybe getting a little help from the big guy” – meaning not Him, but J.C. aka John Casey.

CW Delays 90210, Ringer Midseason Premieres-TVLine

Ringer fans will have to wait a little longer before fresh episodes resume in the new year.

Why? The CW is double-pumping its new reality series, Remodeled (premiering Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 9/8c), by slotting multiple original and repeat installments during its first two weeks on the air.


As a result, Ringer will now resume with new episodes three weeks behind schedule on Jan. 31. Additionally, 90210‘s return has been pushed back a week to Jan. 17.

The good news: The delay means that Ringer will run nearly repeat-free through May.

Remodeled is a docu-series which follows modeling industry vet Paul Fisher on his quest to unite smaller agencies into one supersized unit, to be called The Network.

Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on How I Met Your Mother, Spartacus, Revenge, Bones, Grimm and More!-TVLine

Question: I have a burning How I Met Your Mother question from Monday’s episode. When Future Ted says that Robin never becomes a pole-vaulter, was that a confirmation that she never becomes a mom? —Pat
Ausiello: Actually, the confirmation came four years ago, according to exec producer Carter Bays. “I would point people to the episode from Season 3 [titled] ‘Little Boys,’ he says. “In that episode, Robin’s grappling with the fact that she doesn’t particularly like children. And it ends with [Future Ted] explaining that she did go on to eventually like children in the form of Ted’s kids.” In case there remains any doubt, Bays states for the record that Robin “doesn’t become a mom.”

Question: Monday’s HIMYM felt like the beginning of a “cooling off” period between Robin and Barney. Please tell me I’m wrong. —Tricia
Ausiello: Sorry, you’re right. “We’re going to see Barney moving on in the remainder of the season,” confirms Bays, referring to the arrival of Becki Newton as his new love interest. And what about Robin and Ted (who ended the fall run on a particularly poignant note). “I’m sentimental about those two,” concedes the boss man. “She’s an important girl in his life. That’s never going to quite go away.”

Question: Please tell this Revenge addict the dead guy on the beach is someone other than Daniel. I love the way Josh Bowman has played this unwitting pawn in Emily’s plot. I’d hate to see him go. —Cindy
Ausiello: You better believe that was the first question I asked leading lady Emily VanCamp when she dropped by TVLine’s new Times Square headquarters on Tuesday. All she would say is that the “original plan” called for Daniel to be the dead man beached. And the current plan…? “I don’t think [the producers] are completely certain,” she hedged. “I guess the best thing I can say is that nothing is as ever as it seems on this show.” Well, one thing is as it seems: VanCamp confirms that “someone is dead on the beach. That I can say.”

Question: January’s coming fast. Got any new scoop on One Tree Hill? —Aimee
Ausiello: The series-ending epilogue will be sports-themed.

Question: Hey, Mr. Man-in-the-Know — do you have any scoop on Grimm? I wasn’t sure about this show at first, but my family and I watched the first episode online last night and added it to our DVR list before it even ended! —Cindy
Ausiello: This Friday’s episode is a big one for everyone’s favorite blutbad, Monroe. Not only will we watch as he struggles to contain his wild side, but we’ll also observe his romantic side when his former flame (played by Eureka‘s Jaime Ray Newman) comes to Portland and really, ahem, tests his discipline.

Question: Do you have anything on Parks and Recreation? —Brooke
Ausiello: Leslie gets hooked on PCP in Thursday’s episode. The twist? I’m not talking about the addictive narcotic! The scandal-ridden public servant, reeling from her work suspension and campaign collapse, uses her free time to form a militant citizen group, Parks Committee of Pawnee. Her first order of business? Adding Yahtzee to the rec center’s game room. The Christmas-themed outing also features the (hilarious) returns of Ben Schwartz’s sneaker salesman Jean-Ralphio and Jason Mantzoukas’ fragrance mogul Dennis Feinstein, and marks the long-awaited introduction of Ron Swanson’s miniature marshmallow doppelganger. (I smell a spinoff! Or at the very least a mid-afternoon snack!)

Question: Do you have any spoilers on Chuck? —Nick
Ausiello: In the Christmas episode “Chuck vs. The Santa Suit” (airing Dec. 23), both Chuck and Sarah find themselves on the receiving end of big ol’ smooches from other people — and one of the people delivering a kiss is most definitely not a friendly.

Question: After watching this week’s Gossip Girl fall finale, can you please give us some scoop on whether Chuck lives or dies? —Torie
Ausiello: Considering Chuck is present at Blair’s royal wedding on Jan. 30, I’m going to go out on a limb and say he survives the car wreck. Unless, of course, Gossip Girl is about to venture into Weekend at Bernie’s territory.

Question: Please give me something good about Dair — like, possibly, Dan confessing his feelings to Blair at the hospital? —Jessie
Ausiello: You mean the prospect of Chuck dying isn’t enough to tide you over until January? Wow, you Dair ‘shippers are hard to please. I’m afraid I don’t have any good news to share… right now. But in early January, I will unload a scoop about the 100th episode that will make your Dair-lovin’ hearts explode. That’s right, I said explode. As in: This spoiler is so awesome it may actually kill you.

Question: Please get us some news on Spartacus: Vengeance. You have been way to quiet about this show! —Seena
Ausiello: Well, since I just received (and screened) the first two episodes (airing Jan. 27 and Feb. 3), right now seems like a perfect time for me to break my silence, don’t you think? Now then, I’ll admit it was bittersweet diving back into the action so soon after Andy Whitfield’s death. And, as strong a first impression as his successor, Liam McIntyre, makes, Andy’s spirit loomed large for me throughout the first episode. How could I — or anyone — watch Spartacus 2 without thinking about Spartacus 1? But by Episode 2, I was fully immersed in what was going on on-screen. So much so that I can say — and happily, I might add — that both the character and the show remain in top form. In fact, the series continues to push the envelope where blood and sex are concerned. (The gauntlet’s been thrown, True Blood.) Within the first two episodes, there’s an orgy as well as some of the most brutal slayings ever. (Seriously — Lorena Bobbit would be proud.) There’s also a heartbreaking death that is preceded by an even more heartbreaking last wish. Oh, and as those promos made pretty clear, Lucretia’s alive and she’s bats#*! crazy!

Question: Got any scoop on Aaron Sorkin’s new HBO drama More as this Story Develops — like a premiere date? —Bea
Ausiello: It’ll probably bow in the spring under the new title Newsroom.

Question: Ummm… that Carrie Preston Good Wife scoop needs to be spilled, sir! —Shane
Ausiello: Ummm… You’re right! It does. She’ll be representing Will in his battle with the S.A. office. Sucks to be Wendy Scott-Carr right about now.

Question: Now that we’ve been given the devastating news about Bones‘ sixth episode being delayed, how about some awesome spoilers to get us through to January 2012? —Susan
Ausiello: When the show launches its spring run in March, Brennan will still be with child. But for how much longer? “That is the question,” teases series creator Hart Hanson. “How soon will she have the baby? It could happen [right away in Episode 7].” Hmm… The title of that particular episode is “The Prisoner in the Pipe,” and it’s been rumored that Brennan goes into labor in a prison. You see where I’m going with this?

Question: Can you please give me some scoop about Community? I am really going to miss it during the “indefinite hiatus.” —Amy
Ausiello: At least the show is going out on a high note — as in the show’s writers had to be high when they penned the fall/winter finale. As previously reported by TVLine’s Megan Masters, Thursday’s holiday-centric musical episode finds the Greendale gang filling in for the absentee glee club — and the results are pitch-perfect. Highlights include an Abed/Troy rap video that is sure to become a viral phenomenon, a running (and good-natured) dig at Glee involving ********s, a great callback to “Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design,” and this line from Britta about the song-and-dance frenzy taking hold the study group: “I wish there was a way we could stop all this. I realize the stakes aren’t actually that high, but somehow that just makes it extra scary.” Oh, and I almost forgot: It all ends with a shocking murder confession!

Question: I’ll take any Pretty Little Liars scoop you’ve got! —Lila
Ausiello: Lucy Hale says that just because Aria’s parents will be clued into her romance with Ezra during Season 2.5, it doesn’t mean they — specifically her dad — will like it. Instead, the reveal “only causes more problems,” the actress tells TVLine’s Matt Mitovich. “There’s a lot of friction between Aria and her parents because of this big bombshell that she drops.” As a result, she promises “more sneaking around” and “a lot more lying, obviously. It’s Pretty Little Liars!”

Question: Any scoop on 90210? —Sumaiyah
Ausiello: The bitch is back! I’m talking about Naomi’s sis Jen, who resurfaces early next year with demon spawn in tow.

Question: What’s the haps on my fave new show Ringer? I am going through some serious withdrawal pains and still have five weeks to get through! Don’t leave a girl hanging! —Carly
Ausiello: It sounds like Det. Machado is getting a new adversary. The show is adding a cocky male agent who “handles his new investigation according to his own agenda.” My guess? The slick newbie will be tasked with solving Gemma’s murder.

Ausiello: If she thought Season 4 was a bitch, wait until she gets a load of what lies ahead in Season 5 (assuming she survives tonight’s finale) — or, I should say, who lies ahead. Series creator Kurt Sutter confirms that Drea de Matteo’s recovering junkie will be back in a big way next fall, presumably to make good on her threat to bond with her son with Jax. “I will tell you that we are definitely bringing Drea back,” he says. “We signed her up for six episodes, and we brought her in for two this season, so we’ll have her in at least four next season. And if I need her for more, I’m sure I can work that out.” (BTW, make a beeline for TVLine after tonight’s finale. You won’t regret it!)

Kris Polaha Previews Ringer's Season 1 Midseason Return-TVLine

Ringer has officially signed off for the remainder of 2011, but a new year means new episodes, and — according to Kris Polaha — tons of juicy new drama.

Here, the Life Unexpected alum answers a few of the questions presented by this week’s shocking fall finale and also tells TVLine what fans should look forward to when the CW thriller resumes its freshman run on Jan. 10.

TVLINE | Were you, as a cast, surprised by Gemma’s unseemly death? Or did you know Tara Summers’ role would be limited from the start?
We didn’t know how Gemma was going to make an exit from the show, but we did know that she would be leaving at some point. All of us on set — including Tara — didn’t know if [the writers] would leave [the story] open-ended so that she could come back… So, when they shot her in the face it was pretty shocking. [Laughs]

TVLINE | How will her murder impact Henry? Will we see new, darker sides to him?
For Henry, there will be a pretty huge level of guilt and remorse. If you think about it, everything seemed so innocent back at the start of the series. No one was really getting hurt and it was just one of those things, you know? People have affairs. But it all got so dark so quickly, and when you see him again in the first episode back, he’ll definitely want nothing to do with Siobhan.

TVLINE | But now the real Siobhan is back in town and seemingly all alone. is there any chance Henry will become more “in the know” when it comes to her true identity and/or whereabouts?
Um, there is a chance. [Laughs]

TVLINE | Will any of these new women joining the show — Madchen Amick or Andrea Roth — fill the void left by Gemma? or maybe Jaime Murray’s devious Olivia?
Not for Henry, no. There’s only one woman for Henry, and that’s Siobhan Martin. [Laughs]

TVLINE | Talk a little about the involvement of Gemma’s very wealthy father in upcoming episodes.
The Martin/Charles investment firm has been trying to land [Tim] Arbogast’s account for years, and in a future episode Henry will be approached to bring him into the fold — much to his dismay. But over the course of certain events, he’s forced to comply with that request. Gregory Harrison (Falcon Crest), who plays my father-in-law, is such a great actor and was awesome to work with. I definitely think they’ll bring him back again.

TVLINE | Is there anything in particular you’re excited about fans seeing once the show resumes?
Nestor [Carbonell] is amazing [as Agent Machado], and we actually have a few scenes coming up, so that’s something to look forward to. He’s a master of stillness. He can do a scene completely with his face versus needing the use of his body — which is my expertise. I can wiggle the f— out of a scene. [Laughs] I’m also about to go shoot a scene between Henry, Malcolm and Andrew, so I think [the producers] are just really fleshing out this world moving forward.

TVLINE | What about the tone of the show? Is it any different moving forward, given the turn of events in the fall finale?
No, we really just hit ground running when we come back next year. It actually picks up right where we left off.

Ringer: Season 1 Fall Finale Recap-TVLine

[Warning: If you've yet to watch Tuesday's fall finale of Ringer, avert your eyes...now! Everyone else, read on...]

No stranger to shocking twists, Ringer concluded its inaugural fall run with a (literal) bang, bringing to a close a killer arc that’s carried the CW thriller through a majority of its freshman season. New seeds were also planted that will no doubt set up many a story when Ringer returns with new episodes on Jan. 10.

Here’s what went down:

DEATH BECOMES HER | After leading us to believe for weeks that Tara Summers’ sassy redhead was dead, only to reveal that she was being held captive by con man Charlie/John (per Siobhan’s orders), Ringer’s Powers That Be pulled the rug out from under all of us and offed Gemma in the episode’s final moments (and immediately after she had just cheated certain death). Gemma’s murder marked a tragic climax to the story, given the series of events that led up to it. At the start of the episode, Henry — who this week rocked a dapper turtleneck/sport coat combo — kicked his former mistress (i.e. Bridget) to the curb, noting that her involvement in finding his wife has been more hassle than helpful. Bridget, of course, insisted she partake in any rescue efforts, and even agreed to pay the newly discovered kidnapper a major ransom in exchange for Gemma’s life. (Siobhan, meanwhile — in secret — offered to do the same.) Patience not being his strongest virtue, Charlie/John killed Gemma anyway, though not before revealing to her that Siobhan is indeed alive. In the end, Charlie/John was dismissed as a “glorified babysitter who got way too expensive” by the back-in-town Siobhan, and thus was killed by the hand that fed him.

BAT$#*! CRAZY LOVE IN THE AIR | Ringer rocked its first ever love scene, with Bridget finally sexin’ it up with her “dead” sister’s hubby — whom she had just professed her love to (on the actual couple’s sixth wedding anniversary no less!). Toss all of that ickiness aside and you’ve got yourself a pretty nice, normal love match. Of course, with Siobhan back in town, it’s likely that a happy ending for Andrew and Bridget is not on the horizon. Add to that the fact that Siobhan was able to convince Tyler that her baby is really his, and poor Andrew — the most innocent person in this motley crew — will probably end up on the losing end of, well, everything.

OBSESSION FOR HER | Juliet’s crush on Mr. Carpenter elevated tenfold. After likening their relationship to that of Twilight‘s Bella and Edward, Juliet continued to put the moves on her former teacher, much to his chagrin. Mr. C informed Juliet that her behavior was unacceptable and kept her in his classroom for a meeting, and that’s the last viewers saw of the two together. Flash-forward to episode’s end, and Juliet is claiming to have been raped by the teach. Could it actually be true?

The correct story is: Laurie recently told the U.K. site Daily Record that he won't do another TV show after House is done. So, he'll still be on House at least until the end of the current season. It's possible the show may go off the air after that.

Tusla is extremely competitive when it comes to keeping up with Dallas and we have a feeling that George (Jeremy Sisto) is going to fall prey.

The fangtastic HBO hit is looking to add a few new vampires to the mix in season five. True Blood is currently casting the Authority council members so we're thinking these vamps mean business. Kibwe is gentleman vampire who believes in vampire rehab, while Rosalyn is a Texas fanger with a whole lot of hair. But the most intriguing council member? A 9-year-old vampire named Alexander who loves cigarettes and annoying the rest of the council. Smoking aside, we're stoked for Alexander's debut!

Pan Am: Darren Pettie to guest star-From Inside the Box-Zap2it

It's not really a "type cast" as much as it in an "era cast" for Darren Pettie. The "Mad Men" actor is set to join the period drama "Pan Am" for a recurring role.

EW is reporting that Pettie will play a former WWII pilot named Vince Broyles who apparently has an ego that's out of control. The report goes on to say that Pettie's character is allowed to use a Pan Am plane for personal use and will likely have problems with Dean Lowrey (Mike Vogel).

Pettie had periodic appearances in "Mad Men" as Lee Garner, Jr., the son of the owner of Lucky Strike. He also appeared in a few episodes of "Ringer" as Detective Jimmy Kemper.

Pettie joins Ashley Greene as planned guest stars on the show.

Ausiello: Good question. So good that I went directly to series creator Andrew W. Marlowe for the answer. He said, “Fans should be very curious as to why Beckett and Castle are handcuffed together” — and they’re not alone in that. “I think Beckett and Castle are very curious as to why they are cuffed together, and wonder why they can’t remember exactly how it happened.”


Question: Waiting for a new episode of Castle is killing me! I need spoilers, Aus! —Ivy
Ausiello: Sounds like Castle is about lampoon — or pay homage to? — Kim “72 Days” Kardashian. The show is casting the role of Kay Cappuccio, a charismatic reality-TV star “who has achieved significant fame and fortune without possessing any discernible skill or talent” and whose “knockout body have made her a favorite of tabloids and gossip sites the world over — one of which has placed a huge bounty on her booty.” It’s totes KK, right? That’s what I thought, until I read the last sentence of the character descrip: “Kay both relishes this spotlight and at the same time feels like a prisoner of her own celebrity lifestyle — the result is a woman who is more complex than she might at first seem.” Complex?! Kim? Um, no, I think I had a cactus once that demonstrated greater depth than she ever has. And it had a bigger vocabulary, too.

Question: Got any Grey’s Anatomy scoop? It has been ages since you gave us anything on the show. —Sami
Ausiello: Alex can’t seem to catch a break in the love department. Rumor has it shortly after news broke that Charlie’s Angels was dead, Shonda Rhimes put feelers out to Rachael Taylor about reprising her role as Alex-crushing Dr. Fields for an arc later this season. Sadly, I hear that Taylor declined.

Question: Is there any news about a possible crossover this season between Private Practice and Grey’s Anatomy? —Ingmar
Ausiello: Derek and Mark will make a cameo of sorts in Thursday’s two-hour, intervention-themed Private Practice when addict-on-the-attack Amelia hits Addison where it hurts — her heart and womb — by suggesting that Ad’s own obsession (with having a baby) is what drove away Derek and Mark in years past. Amelia also says Sam was smart to not want to start a family with her. (Ouch!) She then says Rosemary’s baby would not want to live among the tumbleweeds in her uterus. (Double-ouch!) Amelia also unloads on Pete and Violet, but, unlike Addison, they take the sticks and stones in stride. In fact, they have a good laugh about it later.

Question: Regarding The Walking Dead, which of Shane’s secrets will be revealed first: his affair with Lori or his murder of Otis? —Julian
Ausiello: One of those two humdingers will be exposed in this Sunday’s episode — and the unpredictable way it comes out only makes me love the show more. (And I’m already loving it a lot this season.) Also in the ep: Two characters have sex for the first time (and it’s both dirty and hot.)

Question: I am a HUGE Leverage fan. Will we get to see a shirtless Hardison and Eliot this season? If you could respond, that would be awesome! —Jessa25
Ausiello: Half of your wish comes true in the Nov. 27 midseason premiere when Hardison loses his clothes during an undercover mission at a fraternity (where he’s forced to participate in a hazing ritual). Even better, things get very flirty — and kissy! — between Hardison and Parker when she poses as his slightly loony date.

Question: Any chance you have some Leverage scoop, particularly something involving Nate and Sophie’s relationship? —Lauren
Ausiello: A special Office-like mockumentary episode airing Dec. 4 finds the team posing as efficiency consultants at a greeting card company. When one of the real employees picks up on some tension between Nate and Sophie, the unsuspecting staffer — at Sophie’s delightfully evil urging — confronts Nate about it. That prompts the two of them to take their playful war to the cameras, talking-head style. Bonus scoop: Nate writes one hell of a greeting card to Sophie.

Question: Do you have any word on when the promised Chase-centric episode(s) will air on House? —Melinda
Ausiello: The first of the two will air after the pivotal episode “Nobody’s Fault.” I’m told the fallout from the game-changing hour will spill over into the Chase-powered installment, which makes me think something pretty serious goes down.

Question: For the love of everything that’s holy, please tell us that the Blind Item about the female character dying on a cable show is not Deb from Dexter. Jennifer Carpenter is so underrated. Her portrayal is realistic, intelligent, and I truly connect with her because of her astounding acting ability. She’s half the reason I watch the show. —Shannon
Ausiello: Relax, it’s not Deb. The character I’m referring to is on a show with more than one word in the title.

Question: I am totally loving Ringer. It’s my favorite show out of all the new stuff on. But one thing I did not get: why is it called Ringer? I am German but I consider my English quite OK. Nevertheless, I really don’t get that name. What does that show have to do with ringers, or rings, or calls or whatever? Please help me out, sir! —Ricardo
Ausiello: As established via flashback in the pilot, Bridget and Siobhan were born inside a Verizon store on the Upper East Side. That led the media to dub them the “Ringer Twins.” Quick, someone ask me how Hart of Dixie got its name! (Take your time; I’m here all week.)

Ausiello: A major character is about to take his/her last breath.

Question: Any scoop on Homeland? —Ekram
Ausiello: This Sunday, all eyes — and phone traces, and street cameras — are on a new target as the CIA attempts to capture Brody’s presumed-dead pal, Tom Walker. But by the end of the hour, we’ll learn Walker and Brody have something — or someone — else in common. Translation: Don’t be so quick to remove Brody from the list of suspects.

Question: Any scoop on 90210‘s Liam and Annie? — Sumaiyah
Ausiello: As individuals? Yep! Liam throws the gang a big Thanksgiving dinner and gets an unexpected visitor: his mom! Ten bucks says she’s looking to get her hands on some of that modeling moolah. Speaking of the almighty buck, Annie will finally get her inheritance — but all that whoring around she did might come back to haunt her when the police catch wind of the campus escort ring.

Question: I need a Happy Endings scoop! — Beau
Ausiello: Brace yourself for an utterly amahzing Valentine’s Day… which will be the exact opposite of amahzing for two members of the gang. While Penny struggles to put off dumping her new and very annoying boyfriend du jour until after Feb. 14, Dave becomes so convinced that his hot new girlfriend is planning the same fate for him that he ruins her sextra-special plan for him. (How sextra-special? She was gonna invite a hot gal pal to join them in bed — that sextra-special.) At the same time, Brad plays with fire by trying to conceal from his buxom dental hygienist the fact that he’s married. Something tells me that there’s no amount of laughing gas in the world that will make that seem funny to Jane…

Gary Busey to Guest-Star on Two and a Half Men Season 9, American Horror Story Season 1 Video-TVLine

Two and a Half Men is bringing Charlie (Harper) back, and he’s got a new pal.

An upcoming episode of the revamped CBS sitcom features Jon Cryer’s Alan channeling his late brother and ending up in a mental institution because of it. And who better to be his psych ward roommate than the always off-kilter Gary Busey?

CW Midseason 2012: One Tree Hill Season 9, Remodeled, Vampire Diaries and More-TVLine

Someone alert Brittany S. Pierce. One Tree Hill‘s ninth and final season will kick off Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 8/7c.


The CW series will welcome back some familiar faces during its 13-episode swan song, including original cast member Chad Michael Murray, Allison Munn as Miss Lauren, Scott Holroyd as Quinn’s ex-hubby David and Devin McGee as Brooke’s Season 6 attacker, Xavier.

James Lafferty Will Be a Part of Tree Hill Finale

On Jan. 18, Tree Hill will be followed by the debut of Remodeled, a reality series featuring Paul Fisher, a modeling industry veteran who’s trying to bring together smaller agencies into a new venture called The Network.

Ringer is dipping back in the soap world’s talent pool.

Days of Our Lives alum Brody Hutzler has landed a guest spot on the CW thriller, TVLine has confirmed. The actor first revealed the news via Twitter.

Ringer Scoop: Ex Marks the Spot for Andrea Roth

Hutzler will play wine connoisseur Jason Sheridan, the handsome and supportive husband of Upper East Side socialite, Greer, who — as we first reported — will be portrayed by Madchen Amick. Both are set to appear in Episode 11.

The daytime vet’s other TV credits include The Young and the Restless, NCIS and Angel.
